Hey Shubham.

In 2018, 3 students were placed from MTech Biotechnology in the company Pathfinder. There were no other placements for the same branch in MTech. Most students go for further research or Competitive exams other than opting for placements from this branch.

You can use the link below for more details regarding this.

Hello,

According to Careers360, National Institute of Technology Durgapur has a rating of AAAA+ which means Outstanding and SRM Institute of Science and Technology also has a rating of AAAA+ (Outstanding).

Both are decent colleges. NIT Durgapur is a Government college and SRM is private. Also, students are concerned about the placements. So, placements records are also good for both. Placement also depend on the performace of the student, his/her capabilities and skills.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!

NIT Durgapur is better than NIT Jalandhar. NIT Durgapur is much older than NITJ and thus has more alumni than NITJ. NIT Jalandhar was established later so have better infrastructure but NITD is undergoing massive infrastructure modernisation. As it is located in Bengal and Bengal had produced well known scientist and scholars, so environment for research is good here. And taking mechanical engineering in consideration i will suggest you NITD. rest decision depends on your choice

Not par with the NIT standard. Sports could be better, lots of unutilized area in campus. Academics is good, most professors are interactive. Good club culture, allows student to learn outside of academics.
