    In biotech engineering there is less scope in India, you have to go to foreign countries for getting a good job in bio technology, if you are getting  a good branch as compared to bio technology go for it.

    A candidate who is persuing Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering can definitely appear in the GATE paper of Computer science and information technology.

    But you have to prepare very well for this Examination.

    You have to cover the syllabus of CS and IT .

    You have to

     IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Rookee. 
    The maximum salary of a student from any of these IITs has gone as high as 50 lakhs per annum or even higher. 
    The minimum salary may go as low as 4 lakhs per annum or even less.

    You can absolutely change the major for your masters. If you want a masters degree in Mechanical engineering with a bachelors in Industrial design, it is absolutely possible. You will have to appear for GATE Mechanical engineering.

    Well this is a tough decision and definitely you have to take this. 


    Firstly, if you want to study a Core Branch then definitely Mechanical Engineering will suffice. Then you must go ahead with Mechanical Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra. 


    If you want to study in a good, rank holder

    As per your Percentile and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get are:-

    Kurushetra University(Chemical,ME,CE)

    Galgotias university

    Walchand institute of technology,Solapur

    According to previous year statistics, your chances of getting a seat in it branch is somewhat less as the previous year's closing rank for this branch was 8856  for home state quota, but you can get other branches like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering and electrical engineering.

    Yes.. There are pretty good chances of you getting IT in NIT Kurukshetra as per your rank. However the cutoffs are unpredictable and change almost every year. However your chances are pretty high as per the previous year cut offs. All the best for the counselling.

    College Infrastructure

    Very good infrastructure, greenery all over was the best part there. All the facilities were absolutely good. Hostel was good but the mess food was very bad. All the sports facilities like badminton court, volleyball court was available. The campus was very big with stores in the campus as well.
