Hello Aspirant,  The food in NIT Rourkela is not bad despite of you are not from North India. They gave the different dishes everyday like choose Bhature, Biryani, Halwa,  Kadhai Paneer etc. There are two Halls CVR and KMS. CVR for girls and KMS for boys.

 NIT Rourkela has two hostels for girls.You will get one of the hostels based on your admissions in the Institute. 

For the first and second years students the room is shared by 2-4 students per room,but it has seperate cupboard, table,chair for each student in the room.

I checked about the branch upgradation policy at NIT Kurukshetra on internet. Many students of NIT Kkr are of the opinion that branch change was possible till 2017, then from 2018, they changed this policy and made it impossible to change your branch in first year. So, for
