These Opening Ranks (OR) and Closing Ranks (CR) were for the CSE branch.

In 2016, after the last round-

OR- 9,525 and CR- 34,094

In 2017, after the last round-

According to me, you would get CS in 6th/7th round. Closing ranks change vastly in last round due to seat withdrawl at a mass scale. Please do not panic. I understand you are on borderline of the rank required for this branch. But you will get it. Be patient.

At this rank, if you're from general category and Jammu is your homes state then you would get CS in NIT Srinagar for sure. And by chance, if you don't( though chances are almost negligible) you will get it in spot round. Read the article below for more

My suggestion would be to go with Mechanical at NIT Raipur, the reason being it is older, better ranked than NIT Srinagar. Placement wise also NIT Raipur is better. The average package of NIT Raipur is Rs 7.2 lakhs whereas the same for NIT Srinagar is Rs. 6

Dear aspirant,Kudos on clearing JEE MAINS examination.As per the previos year cutoff for NIT srinagar for home state student belonging to general category and gender neutral,the opening rank for CSE branch was 25541 while the closing rank was 49401.So their are very high chances of getting CSE branch in NIT-srinagar.
