Last year cutoff in Thapar University, Patiala in CSE stream was

Punjab domicile candidate: 223247

Outside punjab domicile : 46770

So according to the record if you are a resident of punjab you will easily get the seat.

Last year cutoff for CSE was around 32k for outside Punjab students on 4 year BTech course.so you have a very low chance.you should appear in April month exam.

Definetly you can't get as CSE is a very demand branch so you have to have a very good score to get a seat in that branch , but there is one chance that if you belongs to SC OR ST reservation catogery then you can hope a seat in it , so don't worry about it you also have a second chance so try well in it so all the best for your future

It's very tough that your son gets admission in Thapar university in CSE branch.  Last year it was around 127 marks for the 3rd round.  This year it's expected to be around the same only.

The starting date of the Tiet is in mid March. You can alsi check it from the Tiet admission page. No,  it is not mandatory to apply for iit jee advance exam. But you have to appear in the jee mains exam.

to get admission in thappar university you can take admission there by registering for teh entrance exam and fill the applicatio  and as per your rank you will get seat there for the rewuired course and before this the counseling session will be held in which it is decided that which candidate will get the seat as per the rank. and if you did not fill the application form then you can go for direct admission if ay vaccant seat is left only then you will get admission their directly. all the best have a great future ahead.
