When to apply for diploma at thapar university

This question can be answered in two ways i will give you both explanations

From a distance it is a good choice to complete diploma from thapar and then get lateral entry. But seats offered in lateral entry are less. And there is no garuntee you would get a lateral entry until unless you are one of the top students of your class.If you are in 10th and i assume you are then do not go for diploma. From my personal experience diploma gave me some knowledge but degraded my mathematical skills. It is all theory and little maths. And B.tech if you do from a reputed college or a very good university requires good mathematical and problem solving skills.After students who go for lateral entry find it difficult to cope up in btech. Some how you clear btech ,but you will be in a difficult situtaion if you apply for any technical government job. or try to give exams like GATE or NET So do regular 12th and after that try thinking about it.. or you can follow first narrative..and have to work really hardfor the rest of your life

what gate score required in thaper university

Hello.

Like any other private engineering colleges offering Mtech, Thapar university too would be filled only after IITs and NITs, so expected cutoff levels are less compared to preferred colleges.

It would safely be upto a GATE score of 450-500 and high chance of obtaining a seat. Though there will be a separate entrance exam if all seats couldn't get filled via GATE.

My board percentage is 64 so how much marks I need in jee mains to take admission in thapar University for civil engineering.

To get into Thapar University the last year cutoff was 70marks. The rank will surely vary every year and also try to get as much as can. The score of 80-90 will surely help you to get admission into thapar university. Also, if you consider your percentage you have to get more than 80 to get admission.Hope this answer will definitely help you

At what marks in JEE MAINS ....I can get CS in thapar university

As per Round 3 cutoffs from 2017 trends, the closing ranks of JEE Main exam for CSE branch was 61324 for General Category.
For Round 1 the rank closed down at 40895.

This corresponding to total marks of 50-60 in JEE Main.

However, cutoffs may vary every year depending upon following factors:-

1. Difficulty level of questions
2. Total Number of candidates appeared
3. Overall performance of candidates
4. Previous year trends.

You can alternatively target Manipal Institution of Technology as well which is very good for CSE branch.

I would say you should choose the course as per your eligibility, interest and potential so kindly consider them all and make a best decision for yourself but generally students opt Thapar University for B.Tech.

College Infrastructure

Thapar has the most wonderful campus. Such a beauty to live within.It has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities starting from labs and classrooms to sports area and a market for daily essentials. We have a good working wifi that us available 24/7.Cleaning staff makes sure the campus looks well eveytime.

Overall good experience. Loved my time spent there.

The infrastructure of college is great. The library is amazing it is designed in such a way that it helps the students to learn more. The canteens are awesome. The labs and classrooms are also good. Great.
