Hi Sandeep, Thapar University is one of the top universities in India with respect to placements and studies as well. It provides a very good platform for engineering students to excel.
For further details, please check out the current link - http://www.thapar.edu/placements
Dear Student,
You have got a very less score to get admission in Thapar, in 12th your percentage should be more that 90% so that you can expect any branch there otherwise they will not as your JEE score is also too much low.
You may take direct admission in some other good private colleges without any criteria of marks like Amity, LPU, Sharda, Chandigarh University, and some AKTU colleges of NCR region.
Moreover you can use this link to predict the college for your self according to your JEE score.

Good Luck :)
Hi,
I think you should opt for Computer Science and Engineering at SRM, Chennai (KTR campus) as this institution is famous for the placement opportunities it provides for its students. Companies like Microsoft, Dell, Wipro & many other top organization offer placement opportunities to students over here & over 90% of students who sit for placements gets placed in good companies. The highest salary offered is around INR 42 LPA & the average salary offered is around INR 7 to 10 LPA. The quality of education is also very good & the infrastructure is excellent with good food, proper air-conditioned classrooms, labs & library. The former college is not bad but SRM is better as compared to it. The one at Thapar does not provide as good placement opportunity as KTR campus & the infrastructure is also not that great.
Hope this helps.

Hello aspirant
First of all congratulations for getting a seat at thapar university. You need to think it yourself , whether you are ready to devote a complete year for your better future or you want to start enjoying your college life . You need to think on it very carefully . Secondly you should also find whether your family can manage your study expenses if you choose THAPAR university . Next and most important thing , if by any means you failed to achieve a better college , you might loose a chance to study in such a nice college along with the loss of an year . Take these three facts into account and I hope you will get your answer.
I hope my answer helps
All the very best!
Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
Following the announcement of the results and the release of the merit list, the Thapar University counselling process has begun. The counselling process is carried out entirely online. Candidates must check the University portal for detailed details on the counselling process. Candidates on the first list can deposit their money and fill out a fee confirmation sheet till August 19th. The second counseling/list will probably be release by next week.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
Dear Aspirant,
All the Universities will refund you the fees if the classes are not started. If you have attended one class they will not refund you. So, If the class has not started yet try to contact to the administrative office of the college and they will help you accordingly. The refund will not be the full amount as the colleges will keep the admission processing charge and all and after that they will refund you.The refund time depends on college to college . They may take time otherwise they will refund you as soon as possible.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

Thapar has the most wonderful campus. Such a beauty to live within. It has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities starting from labs and classrooms to sports area and a market for daily essentials. We have a good working wifi that us available 24/7.Cleaning staff makes sure the campus looks well eveytime.
The institute offers classrooms equipped with projectors, providing a conducive learning environment. Laboratories are well-furnished and equipped with functional equipment, particularly in departments like school of chemistry and biochemistry.
The infrastructure of college is great. The library is amazing it is designed in such a way that it helps the students to learn more. The canteens are awesome. The labs and classrooms are also good. Great.
