see cutoff scores changes every year and it depends on some factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix etc, however at this score you have less chances in vnit including north east nits, I suggest you to apply for state government engineering colleges , colleges under anna university.

see every organization have some rules and criteria to hire candidates, since you have a decent gate score and you have done mtech from vnit you have decent chances for selection, however being a faculty you also need to have good communication skills, problem solving skills, have the ability to take class for a long hour. right now in most of the coaching institute provides crash course and classes will be almost 8-10 hours duration. I suggest you also try for private colleges for assistant professor or lecturer position  besides coaching institute.
