Hi Pankaj,
Your score 83 percentile in JEE Main is not sufficient to secure a seat in Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur. I'm sorry to inform you this you can't get a seat in any of the branches. According to your obtained percentile your JEE Main 2020 rank will be around 1.8 Lakh where the highest cut-off for the National Institute is around 45,000. There are quotas like Home state quota and other state quota. There is opening rank and closing rank for both the quotas. Your predicted rank is not no where around the slabs of any department. Even though you have a reservation there are no chances of you getting an admission in VNIT. You can check in the Careers360 College predictor portal using all your details like JEE Main Score, Category, reservations(if any) to know your chances of getting an admission in institutes like NIT.

If you still want to study in a government institution there are also many which accepts your percentile. If you want to stick on only for NIT's the chances are almost zero.
You can try your luck applying for the all the counsellings. But keep your expectations low.

Hello Pankaj, If you got 83 percentile in JEE Main then your rank after JEE Main April will be around 1.8 lakhs. Sorry to inform you that with this rank you will not get Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT).

You have scored 97 percentile in JEE main that means your rank should be around 26070. You can also calculate your rank as

Rank=(100-your percentile)×869010÷100

According to last year trend your category rank should be around 6k. You have not mentioned your home state.

If you are from home state than you may get

1. Chemical engineering

2. Civil engineering

3. Metallurgical and Material engineering

4.Mining engineering

If you belong from other state then also you will get these branches.

has maha cet been made compulsory for admission in NIT ,VNIT and other engineering college?

hey,

see for admission in any nits, you need to apply in jee main exam, which is the only gate way exam for admission in btech course in nits.

however maha cet exam is applicable for admission in maharastra state government and private colleges for engineering and agriculture and pharmacy related course.

The marks vs rank change every year, also there are many branches in NIT Nagpur so the marks would change with different branches, with CSE has the highest demand so more marks.

In 2019 the cut off was as follows for each category in B.arch in VNIT, Nagpur.The ranks are opening and closing rank respectively

General: 1549-2004 (other state) 897-1792(home state)
SC: 159-332(OS) , 169-292(HS)
ST: 100-158(OS), 148-299(HS)
OBC-NCL: 555-745(OS), 561-966(HS)
EWS: 334-361(OS), 354-464(HS)

You have not mentioned your category and state so it is difficult to answer you.You may not get this college if you belong to general catgeory based on 2019 cut off trends.However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or slightly.

Whether after completing B.Sc.in Phy.,Chem. and Geology subjects can a student seek admission in 2nd year of B.E. or B.Tech. If so in which faculty and also the procedure for admission.

see if you have passed b.sc course in mathematics/ physics/ chemistry/ computer science and should have mathematics as a subject in your b.sc course you are eligible to apply for btech course from direct second year. there is lateral entry entrance test, which is conducts in state wise, bsc pass candidates may appear in this exam to get admission in btech course.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is good with a vast area of builidings.College has different department for each branch.It has foreign based equiments from england.Faculty is well qualified and deginfied about thieir qualification.

My experience in my college has been pretty good.

College Infrastructure

Our college infrastructure is pretty good. The wifi's in classroom complex, libraries work just fine. Hostel has LAN ports for LAN connection for laptops and mobiles, which works just fine. Cleanliness is maintained

Our college has good infrastructure We have smartboards in every classroom Wifi is also provided in the classroom conplex, wifi.In hostels we have lan ports. Cleanliness is maintained quite well in all parts of the college.
