Yes, you can get into Amrita school of engineering at coimbatore. Your rank is good enough for virtually all branches in this college. Except cs. And maybe you might be waitlisted of electronics and communication engineering. But apart from that, and seeing last years and this years tentative cutoff, you will surely get in. I can't rule out your chances of getting a seat in Amrita University , however you'll be facing a havey competition since there are many students who are looking to get a seat through JEE mains quota rather than AEEE rank quota. I think you can indeed get a seat in amrita campus since you have a good JEE mains percentile.

Yes with a rank of 16k and by having the state quota in AEEE you can easily get even the computer science branch in the college.As the other branches have less competition and by looking at the closing ranks for mechanical engineering branch at the campus,you can get an admission into the Coimbatore campus.Thank You

If you want suggestion then I suggest you both are good but I VIT Vellore is slightly better than Amrita Coimbatore but it's your decision that in which university you want to take admission.

That's a good score in AEEE and you can definitely expect a rank below 1500 

With that rank,if you are a non Tamil Nadu candidate(i.e you have not done your schooling in TN for your 12th),it would be difficult to get a seat in CSE in the Coimbatore Campus.

CSE at Coimbatore Campus get closed at approximately AIR 800-900 if you are from outside TN and upto AIR 5000-5500 if you have passed your 12th from TN.

You will almost surely get the seat if your domicile is TN.

You will get CSE at Amrita Bangalore and Amritapuri with that rank.They close at approximately AIR 2500-3000 for non home state quota and upto AIR 6000 for home state quota

You will also get all the other remaining branches at Coimbatore Campus with that rank

If you have a valid JEE Mains score,you can try availing a seat with that rank too

Yes, uniform is compulsory for all campuses of Amrita University for all Under Graduate programmes.! You need to wear till your final year.

Students doing their post graduation needn't wear uniform.

As you as ask for suggestion between ASB Coimbature and XIME Banglore.I would suggest you to go for XIME banglore .because here you can explore as much as you can. They will put you through vigorous training and tests .

Plus point you will get here is Banglore city that is IT hub of inda that helps you know more deep and a large number of opprtunities will be there  based on your work set skills.
