Hello. As per my research, CSE branch from Vasavi college would be better option.

It has a well structured curriculum so , it has great teaching faculty. From 2md year on, you are made to gain experience on industrial fields, so as to develop and use your knowledge practically.

It offers you a PEGA certification, which helps you stand best among students during placements. Advantage to this is hike is seen more for this certification.

It has great placement opportunities,  where 7 LPA is recorded till now. Great tieup with some giant companies in hand, makes it easy to grab a job here.

The only drawback here is that Vasavi doesn't engage in extracurricular activities. There its only study and professional experience constraint. So hope you have understood the facts.

You didn't mention your category which is an important factor of college prediction. However if you belong to open category then you can get seat in branches like production engineering, chemical engineering, etc. If you belong to reserved categories then you have chances of getting good groups like Eee, Ece etc.

As cut off percentile for St Category Jee main is 39.0696, you have qualified Jee main 2020. Being at candidate and getting 85 percentile, you have chances of getting. Seat in CBIT but whether you get CSE or not , depends upon cut off of the college. Cut off depends upon number of candidates appeared and qualified in exam, difficulty level of exam, previous year's cut off and availability of seats etc.

So, with your percentile, your rank should be around 1lakh , in common rank list. According to this rank, it's not really possible for you to get a seat in CBIT, because the cutoffs are really tight in CBIT, and your rank is too high for that.

A rank of 17000 is a good rank for st category. The competition increases more and more and hence, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. CBIT and vasavi college can be got into, with this score since you belong to st category and some other universities as well.

There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into.  Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities.

As of the placement trends and other statistics, JNTU Hyderabad is a far better college than CBIT to pursue engineering in the Computer Science Engineering department.
