Osmania university and cbit both are top colleges in hyderabad.The main difference is osmania university is a government college with fee RS.10000/- per year and cbit is a private autonomous college with fee around Rs.2,00,000/- per year.Both placements and college life in both the colleges is very good.

According to previous years 1st and 2nd counselling cut offs and reputation, CBIT and VASAVI  has slightly higher requirements.

The top preferred branches like CSE and ECE obviously go with the minimum cutoff that's around 2K to 4K maximum.

Firstly, admissions in B category seats are allotted based on All India Ranks. Your rank should be below 1,00,000-1,20,000 to get a seat. And for getting top branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering your CRL rank should not cross 50,000. And for CS cutoff ranks are even more lower.
