Hello Rishu

You won’t get great colleges like R.V , BMS or Ramaiyah. But you surely can get Mediocre colleges like

Vivekananda Institute of Technology

Nitte Menakshi Institute of Technology [NMIT]

NMAM Institute of Technology

SIT, Tumkur

That’s the list I narrowed down. And among them NMAM and SIT are really good but CSE is quite tough to get into.

You are also eligible for other good colleges, you can check the list here : https://engineering.careers360.com/college-predictors/comedk-college-predictor/results?area_region_id=4&counselling_id=4197&exam_id=425&rank=9436&branch=70

Hello Varsha,

The official cut-off for this year is not out yet but we can get a rough estimate from previous years' cut-offs as it is not likely to change to a large extent.

You have not mentioned your category so I'm assuming that you belong to the general category. With a rank of 18955 in the general category, you have almost no chances of getting into Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering for BE Computer Science and Engineering branch.

If you consider the 2018 cutoff, then the cut-off ranks for CSE were-

  • Round 1- 2374 rank
  • Round 2- 2665 rank

So you can see that with your rank, it is highly unlikely that you will get admission here.

If you wish to get into this college only then you can consider some other branches, you might have chances in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, and Construction Technology branches.

You can use the below link to predict your colleges based on your rank-

Hope this helps.

Hello dear,

Dyanand sagar college of engineering is one of the most prestigious college under comedk. The fees of all comedk colleges is almost same i. e 1,37,000 per year (academic fee) and it is mandatory to pay 50,000 at the time of registration and the rest of the fee can be paid after sometime. And the expenditure of hostel and mess depend upon  your choice i. e single seater has different charges and double seater has different charges and other one has their respective charges.

Thnakyou and all the best!

Hey. Yes dayananda Sagar College of engineering, Banglore is a very good and reputed college. Yes, doing mechanical is good there. Faculty is good and the training methadologies too. The placements are also good here.

Hope this answer helps.

for DSCE

Placements: The placements are good, but the packages are a bit low. Nearly 80% of the students are placed. This college has the core companion by the mechanical course companies. There are many companies which come to the college for placement, but only a few companies will select the students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is simply superb. It has all the labs which are required. There is a huge duplex library which is the best thing. There are nearly 3-4 auditoriums which are like luxurious rooms. The college has different blocks for different course and year.

Faculty: The faculty is good, and there is some faculty which are best in teaching.

for BIT Bangalore

Placements: When it comes to placements especially in mechanical, there are only 5-7 core companies coming to the campus. The average package for core companies may vary from 3 LPA, but if you are interested in it companies, you will surely get a job, but you should have good percentage at the end of the 3rd year.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one thing in which BIT is lacking. The campus of BIT is very small where there are many other colleges like law, arts, etc. And there is a hospital inside the campus (KIMS). Wi-Fi is not available in the college for students. Classrooms are not that great. The library is huge and you got all the books there.

Hello aspirant,

It's probably a good choice to do engineering from Dayanand sagar college. Dayananda sagar college of engineering is one of the best college in bangalore , for studies as well as extracurricular activities.Offers a wide range of enriching opportunities to gain new experience and to develop competing skills.

Dayananda Sagar university is the best college for engineering. It also best for who scored less mark or rank in exams. because cut off is normal and had the bestavailability. The campus is small compared to other "DS" campus, but after 3-4 years campus will be shift to 106-acre campus. Hope this information helped you, all the best.
