Hi Sir, I am currently pursuing my final year B.E.Upto Seventh sem my CGPA is 9.16,my +2 ->90.75%,10th -> is 98.6%,CAT 2019 Overall percentile is 71.31 in my first attempt.Will I get a call from IIT Madras for MBA after registration?I kindly request you to reply me as soon as possible. Thanks .

Hope you are doing well.
The CAT cutoff of Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras for open category remains above 96 percentile. It was 98.2 percentile for open category as reported in year 2018 and 2019 which is very close to the cutoff of DOMS IIT Delhi though.

Yes, There is a exemption for those scoring above 90 percent in Graduation, but even to avail that you need to score above 90 percentile. Please, try little hard next year and nail it.

Sir, I got 61% in graduation with 2 years of experience. So can I get a IIM or any other good college with 90+% in CAT?

Hi Prateek

Firstly you need to score in CAT exam to get admission in course of MBA.
Securing good marks in graduation in secondly important but you also need to do well in personal interview to get admission in MBA.

If i am not wrong then you must be asking about the Doms( Department of Management Studies) in IIT Madras.

IIT M has been one of the top institute in India. MBA was being offered in IIT Madras under Department of Humanities & Social science in form of M.Tech(Industrial Engineering) since 1959. MBA program commenced in IIT from 2001. Department of Management studies came into existence since 2004 and has been offering the course since then. ( Careers360).

Career360 has ranked DoMS IIT-M overall 5th for a consecutive second time, though the department never dwells upon the rankings too much.

Placements have been good with companies like Google, Amazon, Avalon consulting, StanChart, RBS, CTS etc being the major recruiters. The median CTC for 2016 placement was 12 lakh (source- DoMS IIT-M official website).

The Institute also provides an opportunity for international student exchange programs and summer/winter internship with top companies.

What percentile do I need to get a call from DMS-IITD?

The cutoff of DMS IIT Delhi is the minimum score required to be called for the next rounds of the selection procedure such as GD, WAT and PI. previous year’s DMS IIT Delhi cutoff to give the students an idea about this year’s cutoff. It’s expected that it’ll be more or less same this year too. DMS IIT Delhi cutoff for CAT is 96+ percentile . so try scoring 96+ percentile to get admission in DMS-IITT

Following is the information regarding DMS IIT Delhi:

Avg. Package: 16.54 LPA (as per official brochure)
Graduation Marks: minimum 60% or 6.00 CGPA (on 10 point scale) in all semesters/years
CAT Cut off: 98%ile +
Sectional cut-off: No
Fees: 8 Lac (total course)

To answer this question, you need to tell me which course you wish to apply for.
Also, do mention your category.
The eligibility criteria is based on the marks scored in graduation and may be subject to an internal entrance exam.
Merit based admission is observed here.
Fees vary anything between 38k - 1.21 lakhs.
