Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
When the Indian independence movement ended the British Raj on August 15, 1947, Indian leaders faced the prospect of inheriting a country divided between medieval-era kingdoms and colonial-era provinces. As the new Minister of Home Affairs, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, then India's most respected and important freedom fighter, was responsible for using political negotiations backed by the option (and use) of military force to ensure the primacy of the Central government and the Constitution then being drafted.
India's constitution designated the country as a Union of States, indicating that it operates under a federal system with a strong central authority. The Indian government recaptured the holdings of the French Empire and Portugal over the next two decades after independence. However, as popular movements for the recognition of regional languages and attention to regional issues grew, the trend shifted. The lack of attention and respect for regional issues culminated in cultural alienation and violent separatism as a result of the backlash against centralization. To relieve tensions on the Indian state, the central government strove to strike a balance between the use of force against separatist fanatics and the creation of new states. As the nature of the federation changes, the map has been revised. The Republic of India now consists of 28 states and eight territories.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck

Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned your home state so considering it as West Bengal according to your profile.
See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year but yes we can provide you the list of colleges that you can get based on previous years cut-off data.
So according to the data, on such marks and category you have very less pr almost no chances of getting any government quota seat for MBBS in any of the medical colleges of West Bengal as they have higher cut-offs around 500-550+ but you have good chances of getting management seat in some Private medical colleges in West Bengal under state quota according to previous year's cut-off.
As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you have chances in following colleges :-
Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Durgapur
ICARE Institute of Medical Science and Research and Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia
IQ City Medical College and Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Durgapur
And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
