In general, first to qualify in NEET, a General Category candidate has to score 50% of the top NEET score. It is 40% for SC, ST, OBC. For example, if the top NEET scorer has scored 500, General Category candidates should score atleast 250 and SC,ST,OBC should score around 200 to qualify. Now not every qualified candidate can get a medical seat. It depends on cut offs. Now cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, difficulty of the exam and top NEET score. Every State except Jammu and Kashmir has All India Quota and State Quota and there is different cut off for each quota. Now every State has various cut offs for every college and Category. Tamilnadu is one of the States with highest cut off. But States like Assam do not have that high cut off. So it totally depends on what State you want to apply and if you want to apply under All India Quota or State Quota. State Quota has higher cut off marks. For Tamilnadu, it should be atleast 625. But for Himachal Pradesh it is around 300. And you cannot be eligible for State Quota of every State which means you should also try for All India Quota. But without having an idea of which State you want to apply for, it is difficult to guess your chances.

With 151 marks you may get a private college (if you clear the cutoff for NEET 2021) in BAMS/BHMS but not a government one

Hello,

If we go through last year cut-offs under 85% state quota, then chances for MBBS or even BDS through government colleges is tough with AIR 793568, the reason being cut-offs are on higher side, though there are possibilities for management quota in private dental colleges such as

  • Care Dental College, Guntur
  • Sree Sai Dental College and Research Institute, Srikakulam
  • Vishnu Dental College, Bhimavaram

however, this is completely based on previous year data, cut-offs are subjected to alter every year based on various factors such as

  • total number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • difficulty level of the paper
  • top NEET scores
  • reservation
  • seat matrix, etc..

Hello,

You haven't mentioned your category, hence I'm assuming it to be general.

With AIR 271420 it's tough to secure seat in GMC or even private college specifically if you belong to UR, as the cut-offs are way higher, though you may have chances for BDS in the following medical college:-

Dr Hedgewar Smruti Rugna Seva Mandal's Dental College, Hingoli
Dr Rajesh Ramdasji Kambe Dental College and Hospital, Akola
Late Shri Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Medical and Rural Development Foundation's Dental College and Hospital, Ahmednagar
202
MA Rangoonwala College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Pune

However, this is entirely based on previous year data, and cut-offs are subjected to alter every year based on various factors such as seat matrix/total number of candidates appearing for the exam/top NEET score/reservation/toughness level of the paper etc,
