Hello
Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. Or else the only other option is through Management Quota. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. Now that being clear, you haven't mentioned your Category. This is important because every Category has different cut offs. With a score of 450, your rank might be approximately between 82216-89872 . This is an expected rank range: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank . Now regarding the Colleges that you may have a shot at, we will need the State you belong to. Hi,
Student belonging to any state can take part in this counselling basis the NEET score. The NTA extracts the merit list of qualified candidates for 15% All India quota seats of the NEET. The MCC (Medical Council Committee) counsels only those candidates for online counselling that appear in the merit list.
Hence based on this calculation a general category student should hold a rank above 6,83,473 to be eligible for admission in government college for MBBS. While an OBC student should secure a rank above 8,20,167 to be eligible for admission into government college for MBBS.
15% seats will be reserved for All India Quota seats, while 85% seats will be reserved for state quota. The seats under this reservation will be allotted as per the NEET reservation criteria 2021.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
