jamia and iet , both are old and good colleges .
if You have good hand in programming , pick up CSE and if you are not a computer student , go on with electrical .
Both colleges and both branches are good , it is a tough choice though !
You should opt for the one you are more Interested to pursue because there are almost equal chances of placement and packages in both the branches .
However , looking at the fee structure , Jamia is affordable .

According to the UPSEE 2018 SC category cutoff, you can definitely get KNIT, Sultanpur, BIET, Jhansi or IET, Lucknow.
You can certainly get the CSE branch in KNIT and BIET but you will not be able to get CSE, Electrical and Mechanical branch in IET, Lucknow.
I would suggest you take CSE branch in KNIT or BIET which you will get after Round 1 or Round 2.

This Year Thapar University is planning to have 4 rounds ofcounselling sessions, which will give a good chance to students to get a branch of their own liking. The 2nd round is scheduled on 13th july 2019, And 3rd and 4th sessions are on July 31st and August 7th respectively.
Thapar also organizes counselling sessions after 1st semester and 2nd semester for the students to upgrade their branch.

As per their report given on 24-25 June 2019 there are a total of 660+ seats vacant in BTech of there computers have nearly 316 seats and Electrical ECE instrumentation combined have 190 seats
