Hi Arif,

As per your score, you can get admission in GCET on the basis of your JKCET rank. Anyone with a rank less than 1000 (around 45 score ) does get admission but if you want a branch of your choice , aim for a below 200 rank . Also GCET includes other engineering colleges affiliated to Jammu University do provide an option for branch change after first year based on your first semester performance and seat availability.

Another option can be taking a year gap and appearing again in JKCET. If you want Civil or CSE, you must end up under 200 rank. But if you don't want your prefered branch, then you will get other branches as per your marks.

Thank you and best of luck.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is pretty average. It is built on large acres of land and there is just so much left untouched. The building's exteriors are good but the walls inside are just average with a lot of wear and tear in almost all the places. There are multiple labs for everything required, but the computers are slow.
