The placement for Production Engineering is average. The Companies which recruit Production Engineers from Jabalpur Engineering College offer around 2 to 3 lpa. Hello Aspirant,

See don't make yourself confused in these little things, it is very simple process of JEE-Advance in which there are two cut-offs among which one cut-off signifies the qualifying cut-off which means that if you clear this cut-off you will be eligible for admission to IITs but on the other hand the second cut-off category is for colleges which means that for particular college there is different cut-off rank and if you are under that rank then you can easily take admission through counselling in that particular college.

Now coming to the second part of your question, according to the percentile you have mentioned in the question your approximate rank for JEE-Main would be near about 65,000-70,000 (if you were talking about JEE-Main) and on the basis of this rank you can get JEC Industrial Engineering College but note that you have mentioned the closing rank of last year for this college and these ranks are known as cut-off ranks which are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

You can use JEE-Main College Predictor tool to predict the college according to your percentile and category, link for the same is given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

First of all, never ever choose any branch like this. If your interest is in CSE, go for it as after graduation college will not matter a cent. What will matter is your subject knowledge and how much you can put on the table. There are many instances of students getting fancy packages from colleges whose name you have never heard and there are even instances of people failing from the prestigious IITs.
Moreover, if there is no interest of yours in CSE and were just wanting it because it is the thing every one is talking about. Please reconsider your choices. No branch is good or bad. Try exploring things. Maybe you are meant for Industrial Production, maybe not. Who knows! Go through the curriculum and try to read some material of it from the internet. If it feels interesting, go ahead. Otherwise drop it.

Hello
According to Wikipedia production engineering also known Manufacturing engineering defined as a " branch of professional engineering that shares many common concepts and ideas with other fields of engineering such as mechanical, chemical, electrical, and industrial engineering. Manufacturing engineering requires the ability to plan the practices of manufacturing; to research and to develop tools, processes, machines and equipment; and to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality products with the optimum expenditure of capital."
You can have its detail on https://g.co/kgs/s239Ab.
The cut-off of previous year in BE Industrial and Production engineering was 16530 for general and 28124 for obc.
Salary would range from 3 to 6LPA however the range would vary basis location and organisation etc.
If you have done your academic course from a premiere institute it starts from 8LPA to 10.5LPA.

hello aspirant...

If you are from the general category then the percentile you obtained is not good for the admission in these collleges for computer science. it doesnt mean you doesnt have a chance, but those are quite low. work hard and do well in the next session of the jee mains to obtain an excellent percentile

hope this helps

Hello,

Your expected rank will be around 67577.You can calculate your expected rank by the formula (100-your total percentile)*869010/100

where 869010 is the total number of candidates appeared in January session. It is expected that 1200000 candidates may appear in APRIL Session so the expected rank can be calculated using the formula
(100-your total percentile)*1200000/100

In 2019 the cut off was as follows for JEC, Jabalpur in round 1 for home state General category candidates
branch wise
  • Civil engineering: 66843-93507
  • Computer science engineering: 34190-48277
  • Electronics and communication engineering: 50374-73697
  • Electrical engineering: 26383-81392
  • Industrial and production engineering: 95921-166497
  • Information technology: 48286-60682
  • Mechanical Engineering: 56501-78513

So considering this you may get seat in Civil, ECE, EE, IPE, IT, ME.However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.

And with such rank it is difficult to get seat in any GFTIs.It is better to prepare for JEE main April session and do well.

You may predict the colleges in which you may get by using our JEE main college predictor

Hello,

Categorical cutoff list is not given by the authorities. JEC accepts JEE main, REAP, RPET for admission of candidates in different branches. If you have a rank below 4-5k then you can get an admission here for sure. If you look for top rated branches like CSE ,ECE then your rank has to be more low so that it will satisfy the cutoff range of that particular stream.

Hope it helps!
