I do not know much about CVSR. So, I cannot give you a fair comparison. I can only tell you that the courses in KMIT give it an edge. You won’t lag behind any CS student during placement season!
And they’re really good.

I will tell you this, though - KMIT focus a LOT of its attention on its CS students. Other streams do feel slightly ignored, sometimes, unless you proactively take part in all the activities offered.

Yes, you do stand a fair chance of getting IT branch in the college. The last year cut off for IT branch was 16909 rank. You will be able to get IT branch.
