Dear applicant, as per official norms none of the colleges will let you use any electronic gadgets at night. But as you know to fulfill your own study criteria you can carry laptop and while you study at night make sure you are not caught in the hands of warden. If you remain cautious then you can easily use your laptop to prepare well for exams.

According to sources the Girl's hostel of RMK Engineering College, Chennai consists of-

• 20 rooms which can accommodate about 70 students.
• The rooms are quite spacious, properly ventilated and well maintained.
• There's Gym+ parlour facilities available in the hostel.
• Also a General store is there for students.
• The mess timings are from 7am to 8pm (Dinner).
• Students are permitted outside only till 6'O Clock in the evening. No students can go out after that.
• Fees- 61.2k per year.

You can pursue computer science engineering at any institute in India  provided you may have given entrance exams like JEE Mains and Advance, BITSAT, NMAT, SET, MHTCET, VITEEE, SRMJEEE, WBJEE etc. JEE  MAINS AND Advance is an all India entrance test whereas other entrance exams are for different states like WBJEE is for west bengal , BCECE is for bihar state , MHT CET is for maharashtra state . It is not mandatory to give all entrance exams mentioned above , but JEE MAINS AND ADVANCED is a must if you want to apply for engineering and by which you can apply at any institute all over India .

CSE at RMK Engineering College fees is approx 2.20 Lakha per semester and for Panimalar Engineering College is 2.20 Lakhs per semester. But RMK Engineering College has only 180 seats while Panimalar Engineering College has 360 seats

From placement view, Panimalar Engineering College has median package of approx 6.3 Lakhs per annum. And RMK engineering College has 4 Lakhs per annum.  You need to decide which college you choose. I have listed all the factors.

Almost both are good colleges but according to EEE Placement stats and data Rajalakshmi Engineering College is quite better compared to RMK Engineering College . Because , 81% placed in placements in Rajalakshmi Engineering college whereas coming to RMK Engineering college 53% placed

teaching-

both RMK & REC got well qualified staffs who are dynamic and many of them who are doctorate holders .

exposure and extra co-curricular activities -

REC tops the chart when compared with RMK.

food -

RMK got a mess where they serve you good non-veg food with desserts along with tea and snacks in the evening . Whereas REC has like 3–4 canteens indoor and outdoor which serves good food but the only disadvantage is that they don’t serve non-veg food .

Campus ambience -

it is good in both the colleges , REC campus has been modified now and it look more greenish and quite beautiful when compared to the olden days .

academics and placements-

both the colleges are decent and the students are offerred decent packages in both the colleges.

as per the reviews , college offers around 80-90% placements in the top recruiting comanies such as Honey well, amazon,Zoho , TCs etc but less core companies visit for ECE. Anyways, ECE students can do job in both software and electronic industry. faculty members are quite exprienced and supportive. Facilities are considerable such as well equipped labs, digital classrooms etc.
