The college offers admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. SCET Surat admissions are offered to B.E/B.Tech, M.E /M.Tech., and M.C.A. programmes. Admissions to SCET Surat are offered on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. For SCET Surat admission, the candidates have to meet the admission criteria. SCET admission to the UG courses is done based on the entrance exam- GUJCET. Admission to the PG courses is done on the basis of the candidate’s score in the national level entrance examination. The final admission is offered after verification of all required documents and fee payment.
SCET Surat admission to the B.E/B.Tech programmes are offered based on the score secured by the candidate in the entrance exam- GUJCET. For admission, the candidate has to pass the qualifying examination with minimum eligibility criteria of percentage of marks from the Gujarat Board or the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Candidates have to appear for the entrance test- GUJCET.
Then counselling for GUJCET is carried out by the Admission Committee for Professional Colleges (ACPC).
Candidates who qualify GUJCET will be eligible for participating in the counselling process.
Counselling will be conducted online.
Candidates have to register and fill in choices of their preferred college and branch.
The allotment of seats will be on the basis of merit.
Merit list is prepared by considering 60% of marks secured from total marks in the theory of the 3 subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) and 40% of marks secured in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET).
Final admission is offered after documents verification and fee payment.
The admission to the M.E programmes is done on the basis of marks obtained in the national level entrance exam - GATE. The basic eligibility is that the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in the relevant discipline with 50% aggregate marks at the qualifying examination.

First, appear for the entrance exam- GATE.

Then the applicants have to register themselves on the official website of the college.
Applicants have to apply online on the official website and submit the application form along with the requisite documents.
Admission is offered based on the mark secured by the applicant in the entrance exam- GATE.
All non GATE candidates including sponsored (non-GATE) will have to qualify Common Entrance Test of the current academic year.
Selected applicants have to submit the documents and pay the fees to confirm admission.
SCET Surat admission to the M.C.A programme is done based on the score secured by the candidate in the entrance test- CMAT. For admission to the M.C.A programme, the candidates have to appear in the CMAT and the candidate must have passed the previous qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% marks in the case of SC/ST/SEBC category candidates.
