The Sitamarhi Institute of Technology, Sitamarhi placement cell works dedicatedly towards providing placement to its students. SIT Sitamarhi placement gives the best opportunities for them to grow and develop in all aspects of their academic journey. In the previous academic year at Sitamarhi Institute of Technology, out of 232 students who graduated within the minimum required time, 100 students were successfully placed in jobs. The median salary earned by these placed graduates was Rs. 4,00,000 (Rupees Four Lakhs Only).

The SIT Sitamarhi placement cell has a crucial role in organising seminars, workshops and events that benefit the students in their confidence-boosting, personality development, enhanced knowledge through live projects, hands-on training, career counselling, CV-making workshops, mock interviews, and many more activities. The SIT Sitamarhi placement department is well-equipped with the necessary infrastructure for conducting its activities. 

There are conference rooms to conduct interviews and hold group discussions; the presence of LCD Projectors and PA systems; Lecture halls for pre-placement talks and tests; Computer centre for written and online tests. The SIT Sitamarhi placement department connects with corporate houses and industries and arranges on and off-campus interviews for students. The students can either opt for employment or can choose to pursue higher studies.

• The placement office sends invitations to the companies and organisations along with relevant information.

• Companies and organisations interested in recruiting, register with the training and placement centre and fill out an ‘Employer Recruitment Registration Form’ containing details of the job and the offer.

• If the company/organisation is interested in conducting a pre-placement Talk (PPT) they can send a request along with the preferred dates. 

• Interested and eligible (as per the criteria specified by the company/organisation) students show their willingness to appear for the recruitment process by undergoing a registration process.

• The placement centre and companies coordinate to fix a convenient date for the recruitment procedure viz. test and/or interviews after considering factors like student preferences, job profile, etc. 

• The company/organisation then furnishes the final list of selected students at the end of assigned interview slots.
