Surya College of Engineering and Technology, Villupuram Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Hostel, located within the college campus, consists of two blocks, one each for boys. It is a residential hostel for full-time graduate and postgraduate students admitted to the Surya group of institutions. All community areas like the dining room, common room, recreation room, washroom, etc., are provided separately for boys and girls. The Hostel Committee, under the Chairmanship of the Dean, frames the rules and regulations of the Hostel from time to time and is the final authority in matters concerning the management of the hostels.

The college has a Main Library and 7 Departmental Libraries that collectively support the teaching, research, and extension programs. The Library is fully automated and has a huge collection of books on Engineering, physics, chemistry, English, and Mathematics. The college library is functioning to provide services to its members to promote educational excellence in the Surya group of the institution.

The college has sports facilities for all students. Outdoor Sports activities: Cricket, volleyball, basketball, athletes, Shuttle cork. Indoor Sports activities: Chess, Carom, Table Tennis.

The college is equipped with a fully functional mess to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. It is run by the Management under the guidance of the Principal and Mess Manager. A separate wing for both boys and girls has been provided, which can accommodate a strength of 500 each. Vegetarian as well as Non-vegetarian food is served in the hostel. Mess charges are collected on an annual basis at the time of admission. Parents and guests are allowed to consume food without paying for them.

The college has a 300 seater mini air conditioned auditorium

The College has Excellent transport facilities available from Villupuram, Pondicherry, Tindivinam, Marakanam, Kootroad, Cuddalore, Gingee, Vetavallam, Thirukovilur, Vadalur, Neyveli, Township, and Ulundurpet to our college during the working days.

Training and Placement Cell plays a vital role in the Surya Group of Intuitions with fully equipped infrastructure. Placement cell plays a very important role in guiding and counseling the students of the college for their successful career placement which is a major interface between the stages of completion of the academic program of the students and their entry into the appropriate employment. The placement team maintains a very cordial relationship with all the recruiting industries and invites various industries from across the country for campus Interviews. This cell also coordinates various activities related to the career growth of the students by conducting programs on “Personality development”, "Interpersonal & communication skills" "Career Planning" and "career mapping".
