Each hostel is attached to a modern kitchen, a dining hall, a reading room with newspapers, periodicals, and magazines, a TV, and a telephone. The study hour is from 8.30 pm to 10 pm. The compulsory study hours in the hostel will be from 6.30 PM to 8.00 PM for boys. Strict discipline is maintained.

The College has Health Centre here at the T J Institute of Technology is well equipped. It has a separate inpatient facility for male and female students. The health center provides quality health care in a comfortable and confidential environment. The center has 6 beds and adequately supplies a medicine cabinet. The health center is manned by a medical officer and a healthcare assistant to provide excellent medical care to all the students, staff, and faculty at no cost. The Medical Officer, Dr.BALAKRISHNAN, manages the various aspects of the facility. She provides quality health care to everyone, evaluates the quality of services, maintains the overall efficiency of the center, and decides the procedures to be followed in case of an emergency. Also, vaccinations and yearly check-ups are done at this facility. In the future, we look forward to expanding and bringing in high-tech medical equipment to serve better.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College has a Central Library that houses nearly 28,000 volumes of books and 5,800 titles to enable the students in their study and research. An online journal database with a link to IEEE is also available. The spacious reading area lends a calm and comfortable atmosphere for students and faculty members to pursue excellence in academics. The library is equipped with all modern facilities on par with international standards. NPTEL video lectures are also available in various disciplines. This facility can be accessed inside the campus through an intranet. Interactive lectures through Anna EDUSAT Ku-Band are also available for the faculty and students. It functions from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. The library owns a book bank section for needy students.

The College has a playground for Cricket, Football, Tennis, Volleyball, Athletics, etc. An Indoor Stadium built on par with International Standards houses games such as Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Squash. Gymnasia are available for boys and girls. The Physical Director supervises and guides the sports activities.

The College provides extensive computing resources for research and education. This includes more than 300 high-performance computers in the range of Linux and Windows workstations, and a good number of laptop systems. In addition to the general-purpose file server, the department maintains two specialized servers for database clients and Linux-based workstations. Department network communications include a fiber optic backbone, offering 16 Mbps connectivity to the commodity Internet, and provides an intranet within the Hi-tech lab, which hosts 11 laboratories. The department has wireless internet connectivity via a campus-wide 802. 11b network to the laptops.

The College has a well-equipped, modern cafeteria on campus that provides hygienic food at subsidized rates for the students, staff, and visitors to the college. It works extended hours for those inclined to a quick snack amidst their various activities. Nearly 12,000 sq. ft. have been earmarked for the canteen, stocked with popular items to provide refreshing breaks for the students within the campus itself.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College has its fleet of Buses Connecting the Campus with different points of Chennai and suburbs for the benefit of the Students and Staff. The fee for Transport has to be paid in advance.

The coverage of Wi-Fi is not restricted only to the classrooms but also extends to common areas like the Seminar Hall, Library, Cafeteria, Sports Complex, and student hostels. With this infrastructure, the students have access to all e-learning materials related to academics.

It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest and taking part in sponsored research projects and consultancy services. The College of Training & Placements functions tirelessly and endeavours to provide job opportunities, keeping in mind the students' preferences and strengths. In the ever-changing technological world where today's technology becomes outdated tomorrow, we fully understand the Corporate expectation from students. Based on this understanding, we have signed MOUs with leading training companies for providing communication, soft skills, and technical training. The comprehensive training program commences from the first semester onwards with Communication Skills, second semester with the Personality Development Program. In the second and third year, the students are trained on the latest technology with at least two certifications. In the final year, the students undergo an intensive placement training leading to a successful career launch.
