B. E Automobile Engineering course in Velammal Engineering College, Chennai is offered by Anna University, Chennai. There are 30 seats for this course in this College.
Course fees is Rs. 75,000 per month. 65 percentage of seats are Government quota seats and 35 quota seats are Management quota seats.
Candidates must have minimum 50 percentage in 10+2 or equivalent exam in science stream with relevant subjects for General Category candidates and for reservation category candidates minimum 40 percentage is required. The course is approved by AICTE.

The cut off for the computer science branch is around 18k -22k and it does not varies much same in the case of information technology.
The automobile engineering branch has compartively much lower cut off and that is around 80k - 1L. The electrical branch has cut off around 50k.
However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
