The VIT placement cell works closely with many leading companies and organisations to ensure that its students are given the opportunity to be placed in suitable roles. The placement cell also offers guidance and support to its students in the form of career counseling and mock interviews. To raise awareness of career planning/mapping among students, the VIT Chittoor provides life skills, develops personalities, and arranges training on quantitative aptitude, logical/verbal reasoning, mock interviews, group discussion techniques and online/written aptitude tests.

VIT Chittoor Placement Procedure

• Registration: All eligible final year students who wish to pursue career opportunities must register with the Training and Placement Cell. 

• Eligibility: In general, companies require a minimum of 60% in 10th, 12th/Diploma diploma, and B.Tech. for campus recruitment. Students with lower than 60% aggregate in any of these qualifications may not be eligible for campus recruitment. Providing false information in the registration form will lead to debarment from placement activities.

• Resume: Students must use the institute resume template and provide genuine information. 

• Pre-Placement Talk (PPT): A schedule for PPTs will be provided in advance, but there may be PPTs on short notice. During PPTs, students should clarify salary breakdowns, job profiles, etc. Access to the placement process will be denied to students who do not attend the PPT.

• Placement Process: Students must keep their resume up-to-date, check for announcements/notices, and apply for jobs through the provided links.

• Pre-Placement Offer: Those who accept PPO offers within the stipulated period will be deemed to be placed. Those who reject the offer will be eligible to sit for the placement process.
