What is Manufacturing Science and Engineering

Manufacturing Science and Engineering is the branch of engineering that focuses on the capability to plan how manufacturing takes place, to research and develop tools, and processes. It also attempts to combine the facilities and systems for producing quality products with the optimum expenditure of capital.

Manufacturing Science and Engineering courses generally deal with the different practices of manufacturing. The students pursuing this course get an understanding of how mechanical components interact. Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Manufacturing Science and Engineering

For Undergraduates:

The eligibility criteria for getting admission to undergraduate Manufacturing Science and Engineering course is 10+2 pass in Science stream and should have the required knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics. They must qualify their examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent.


For Postgraduates:

To get admission to a postgraduate Manufacturing Science and Engineering course, the eligibility is graduation from recognised university or college with an average of 50% marks.

Some of the institutions conduct entrance examinations for getting admission to the course. 


Entrance Exams for Manufacturing Science and Engineering Course

The entrance exams are conducted to get admission and pursue Manufacturing Science and Engineering. The individuals are required to attend counselling to get into college after clearing the entrance examination. The entrance exams conducted are as follows :

IIT JEE - JEE is the Joint Entrance Examination that is an engineering entrance assessment exam for admission to engineering courses. It is either conducted as JEE Main or JEE Advanced.

SRMJEEE - It is an institute-based entrance examination that is conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology for admission to engineering courses for undergraduates. 

MHT CET - It is the common entrance test which is conducted once in a year by the Government of Maharashtra. The main motive of the exam is to give admission to the students for engineering courses based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam. 

VITEEE - It is famously known as Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination which is an annual entrance engineering examination conducted by the VIT University all over India. 

Scope of Manufacturing Science and Engineering in India and Abroad
