Hello Aspirant,

See on such OBC rank any of the GFTIs would be difficult as per previous year's cut-off but as we saw a slight dip in JEE-Main 2021 cut-offs so there is possibility that you can get some GFTIs.

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can try for the enlisted colleges :-

Assam University, Silchar

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology

Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above list is merely a prediction which has been made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of either JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you, getting I.I.I.T with 90.6 percentile with E.W.S category is very difficult you should certainly work hard and try to achieve high and high in examination. And should again try to give next year.

Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.

All the best!

Hello,

Basically there are a 100 seats on average in each IIIT. Now as per government jurisdiction, 10% of the seats are reserved. So, I guess around 250-300 seats are available for GEN-EWS for IIIT. Do it is tough for you to get a seat. But if the seats availability is there then you have your chances.

Hope for the best.

Thank you.

Hello

Both the colleges have its own pros and cons.

The ratio of number of companies visiting campus to nunber of students is more in IIIT Allahabad . In simpler words more opportunity in IIIT Allahabad.

As per ranking IIIT Allahabad is at better position than NIT Durgapur. Even fests are better than that of NIT Durgapur.

In terms of branch.... CSE and IT seems same but both are different a lot CSE deals with mathematics , programming , algorithms, while IT is much more safer side of Computer science it includes Computer fundamentals not in depth study and management/ services skills.

I think you opt for CSE in Durgapur because A computer science graduate can also do a job of IT professional. At NIT Durgapur you'll enjoy all the name and fame of college. Fees is also less and you'll get good job opportunity.

Hey Aspirant,

As you might know competition is quiet tough in JEE mains, especially when you belong to general category.  Now the answer to your question is no , at this rank you will not be able to get any IIIT or NIT.

But if you try you might get into some private college or university.

Some of them are

1. Thapar University

2. Jaypee University

3. SRM university

Also for your reference I am providing you with a link to predict a college through JEE Mains rank

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

I hope this helps!!

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.

Now on such category and CRL rank it is not possible to get any of the IIIT because the closing CRL ranks of last year were like :-

Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Una, Himachal Pradesh - Information Technology (35683)

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Sri City, Chittoor - Electronics and Communication Engineering (35758)

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kancheepuram - Mechanical Engineering (39524)

Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacture Jabalpur - Mechanical Engineering (35762)

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the IIITs even not for GFTIs, so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for autonomous government colleges or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-
