Hi Aspirant,

You can get admission in IIIT Hyderabad based on the JEE Main marks you score. It is a good college for engineering just below NIT and the faculties are quite good here including the placements.Once you clear the cutoff in JEE for this college you can take admission in this college.

Hope it helps!!

Hello Aspirant,

According to the mentioned percentile your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 409200 - 460000 and SC rank is expected to be around 23000, you can check out marks Vs CRL ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges LIKE :

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Engineering, Pune

Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore

Nirma University, Ahmedabad

Or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hello aspirant,

Depends on which category you belong to. If you belong to SC/ST category then there are fare chances of getting NIT otherwise you may or may not get one.

With this rank you can surely get the least preferred branch in the NIT of some states and yes some of them are good also.

A least preferred branch can also pull up a great career because once you are in the college, everything starts from ground zero.

So for now share ypur home state for a better prediction else wise you stand a chance for some branches at NIT Jalandhar, Hamirpur which come up in good terms elsewise in more places also you stand a chance.

NIT Hamirpur

NIT Surat

NIT Goa

NIT Silchar.

Hello,

Your percentile is good, that means your score may be approx 125 to 130. And this basis of your marks your rank will be between 18k to 16k. Which is good actually. You are EWS category student so you got your EWS category rank which is less than your general rank.

EWS means economical weaker sections, that means you have to pay less amount of tution fees of your institution. I think you have EWS certificate also because it will be needed for admission.

With this rank you will get may be

  • IIIT Jabalpur
  • IIIT Kurnool
  • IIIT Kancheepuram
  • IIIT Dharwad

Infact you will get computer science and engineering in this IITs colleges. But which college you will get almost if you want to know then check a link below

All the best.

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentilerequired in JEE mains as closing rank keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

You need at least around 86 percentile to get a seat in an NITs, IIITs if you belong to SC category.

For example,

For other state, closing rank for some of the lower nits /IIITs for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for sc category  :

  • NIT AP , Metallurgical and Materials Engineering :- 8450 sc rank

  • National Institute of Technology, Nagaland, Instrumentation Engineering :- 8641 sc rank

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 9207 sc rank

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Nagpur, Electronics and Communication Engineering  :- 9884 sc rank

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 8000 to 9000 sc rank to get into an NITs / IIITs . And to get a rank in this range, you need at atleast around 86 percentile  i. e 70 marks as per our rank predictor at

However based on previous years cutoff, the chances for you to get the branches of CSE or ECE in NITs or IIITs is less, but you are eligible for other steams in NITs or IIITs some of them are,
1. NIT Rourkela
2. NIT Durgapur
3. NIT Jamshedpur
4. IIIT Delhi
5. IIIT Pune
