Hello,

According to your percentile your,All India Rank would fall somewhere between 38874-43700. For CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) branch, you have chances to get admission into-

1. NIT Agartala

2. NIT Meghalaya

3. NIT Sikkim

4. NIT Pondicherry

5. NIR Arunachal Pradesh

6. NIR Manipur

7. NIT Mizoram

8. NIT Srinagar

But you can get admission in these NITs only in 6th round and under HS Quota only. Cutoffs are very very high for Other State Candidates. I am mentioning the official link of JOSAA, copy paste this link in your browser to see the official opening and closing ranks of all the NITs, IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs, firstly look for the NIT and IIIT of your home sate so that you may get privilege under HS quota-

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains as closing rank keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits/IIITs for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for sc category  :

  • National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering :- 8450 sc rank

  • National Institute of Technology, Instrumentation Engineering :- 8641 sc rank

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 9207 sc rank

  • Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Nagpur, Electronics and Communication Engineering  :- 9884 sc rank

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 8000 to 9000 sc rank to get into an NITs / IIITs . And to get a rank in this range, you need at atleast around 86 percentile i. e 60-70 marks as per our rank predictor at

Hello Aspirant,

According to the mentioned percentile your rank is expected to be in the range of 209715 - 235750 you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get CSE in any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, so if you firm only for CSE then I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges like :-

AMITY University

SRM University

Nirma University, Ahmedabad

MIT College of Engineering, Pune

Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune

or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

Hi,

According to your percentile you expected rank will be around 51559 - 57960. Now, since you haven't mentioned your category and assuming that you belong to general category, you do not have strong chances of getting into NITs or IIITs.

For IITs you will have to appear for JEE advanced and you are eligible only if you score more than the qualifying cut off for JEE mains. According to the previous year cut offs for JEE mains, you can clear JEE mains.

You can refer to the rank predictor for more details: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor?utm_source=google-search&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=jeemain-rp&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-OS0-PXZ7wIVyhErCh3RkwixEAAYAiAAEgImDPD_BwE

Also, you can refer to the JoSAA counselling results: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

I hope this helped you.

Hello,

Besides NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, JEE Main score is accepted by many private colleges and Government Universities either through state counselling or institute level counselling. States like Uttarakhand, Uttarpradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra conducts state level counselling for admission in to undergraduate Engineering courses based on JEE Main score. Candidates who have valid JEE Main score can apply for the counselling when the notification inviting candidate for admission is published. Similarly, private colleges also publish notification for admission based on JEE Main score. You need to apply as per schedule and participate in the counselling to get seat in a college through JEE Main score.
