If you would go by the placements then definitely iiit kancheepuram has an upper hand in case non core engineering specially cse branch. On the other hand nit Andhra pradesh is a newer nit and the average package stays around 6L and the highest package went on to 13L per annum.

On the other hand, iiit kancheepuram has an average package of 9.5L and highest package in the cse branch went on to 20L per annum.

For IIIT Bangalore to get admission into Integrated M.Tech CSE branch the last year cut off was 9545 and for Integrated M.tech ECE was 13669. From this year IIIT Bangalore also offers B.tech program with CSE ,ECE and AI branch registration process is ongoing you can apply.

While if you take top branches in average nits , it would be greatly appreciated. Getting branches like cse,ece ,it are very helpful. You can develop skills in these branches. There is a lot to learn in such branches ,means more exposure is there . So choose wisely ,better to go with top branch in average college.

Admissions to any universities or colleges are given based on your rank. As per your overall percentile your rank could be between 239250-247080 approximately. Your eligibility will be based on many factors such as reservation, location etc.

Now if we look at the previous years data then generally college list for ews category students closes around 5000. So there are very slim chances of you getting NITs or IITs.
