for a candidate to get admission into LPU university in the field of BTech the candidate need to give the entrance exam of the LPU university in known as LPUNEST. The minimum eligibility for the +2 percentage for a candidate to get into LPU university and to be able to give the exam is having a minimum of 60% aggregate or above. since you are 81% you can give the LPUNEST exam and then based on that you will be able to get admission.

Lovely professional university is a highly reputed private university and most common placements companies that visits the campus are giants like Cognizant,Capgemini,Tech Mahindra,BOSCH,Amazon,TCS etc, so to answer your question no , you cannot get any direct placement into government job through college placements . In any engineering college for that matter, you will be able to get only private sector companies. If you wish to secure a government job , then you will have to prepare separately for various government recruitment exams which will mostly include PSUs(Public Sector Companies) like BHEL,Indian Oil, BSNL, Bharat Petroleum ,ONGC, Powergrid,and many more. There are specific post for engineering graduates in these organization both core and non-core. You must keep an eye on the notifications regarding the same so that you may prepare accordingly. You may also prepare and clear GATE exam. Moreover being an engineering graduate if you are interested , you may try for armed forces too .Again separate exams and selection procedures are followed by Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, so you have to visit their official website and keep yourself updated with such information and announcements . Similarly IES is another highly chosen path by government job aspirants .Clearing the Engineering Services Examination (ISE) will get you recruited as an officer in various government organizations like the Central Public Works Department, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Directorate General of Supply and Disposals, Indian Navy, etc. Another widely chosen option is banking sector jobs for posts like junior engineer and likewise .But of course you it is highly competitive and challenging , hence you need to prepare hard and must be extremely determined . Dear candidate, here's the eligibility criteria for taking admission in LPU :-

1. The candidate should be a Graduate (or equivalent) in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
2. The candidates who have a valid CAT/MAT/XAT score is eligible for admission through Interview only. They are not required to appear for LPU NEST.
3. Candidates who have scored 60% or above in Graduation, they can seek admission by directly appearing for the interview.

So, you are eligible for taking direct admission if your  percentage during graduation is above 60%.

Yes, you can apply for admission to Lovely professional University without taking the National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST).

Keep in mind that this test is for scholarships offered by universities during admission; however, you can apply for admission without a scholarship and receive scholarships after your first semester exams if you place first in your branch.
