LPU offers more than 150 diploma to doctorate programmes under various streams and eligibility criteria varies course to course.LPUNEST exam is not mandatory to take admission in every programme there are some programmes in which you can take direct admission on the basis of your previous qualification and some of these programmes are BBA , BCA, BCom (//B.Com) , BA and many more.
In some programmes LPUNEST exam is exempted on the basis of other national level exam with specific rank, score or percentile .

you can get admission based on JEE mains, however you have to appear for LPUNEST exam which is the main eligibility criteria for getting admission in B.tech courses.

Dear aspirant, LPUNEST is not mandatory for all the programs. There are certain programs like B Sc, BBA, BCom, BA for which lpunest is not mandatory. You can take admission without taking the test. Perhaps you are unaware of the fact that lpunest is not only an entrance test, it is a scholarship test as well. You can get scholarship with your lpunest score. As per 2020 session admission updates, I come to know that they mostly give relaxation in eligibility condition for a maximum number of courses they offered except for courses like PhD, B.tech, etc and moreover in BTech, PhD I heard no need to give exam if you scored above a certain percentage like 90% or above or cleared any national level exam as per their mentioned programme eligibility details but in Msc agriculture streams,LLM they make it compulsory to clear LPUNEST in this session.

It depends on the program for which you take admission. For example for BTech, MSc Agriculture , Phd and such courses the LPUNest is mandatory.For the other curses itbis just to get that enhanced scholarship level which might obtain by the good score of LPUNest.

So LPUNest is mandatory only for those course where it is written eligibility criteria: LPUNest . For the other courses it is your free will whether you want to give it or not as then it would be for an additional scholarship scale only.

To get exemption from LPUNEST, candidate must have minimum 90% aggregate in 12th class or 90 percentile in JEE Mains.

In LPU, for some programmes LPUNEST is mandatory to be eligible for a programme and for some, it is not.

If LPUNEST is mandatory for admission in your desired programme then you must go for it and qualify it. Only then you can get admission. LPUNEST is an online test with no negative marking. (Fully MCQs).

There are two chances for LPUNEST. If somehow you are not able to qualify the test in the first attempt then you have second chance to go for it but within a limited period at the time of admissions.

If LPUNEST is not mandatory for the programme in which you want to take admission even though I would like to suggest you go for LPUNEST because on the basis of it, you can also get a good amount of scholarship.

For taking admission, you need to be eligible as LPU floats more than 250 programmes with differential eligibility norms and fee structure. There are few programmes where LPUNEST is mandatory and for few courses LPUNEST is for scholarship.So, you have to meet the norms accordingly.
