Dear aspirant,

As you told that you are not interested in any branch and considering you don't know the insights of this branch so let me tell you that for non core and higher packages you should go for the ece branch because technically the placements in the ece branch is pretty good as compared to the mechanical branch.

But if you have good grip on mechanics subject or fluid mechanics of thermodynamics and you have a liking for machines then you should go for that. Lastly its totally your call what you want to choose but as per my opinion due to your problems in family you would get a higher pay scale in the ece branch.

Hi,

Below are documents required for online reporting in NIT :-
  • Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms (Copy of Aadhaar Card is compulsory)
  • Original Date of Birth Certificate issued by Competent Authority / X Marks Card as proof of Date of Birth
  • Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
  • Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
  • Migration Certificate from the Head of the Institute last attended
  • Medical Certificate in the format provided.
Both Migration Certificate and Character Certificate are compulsory for reporting.

Important Tips :-

  1. If the candidate fails to obtain and upload Transfer Certificate, Study & Character certificate and Migration certificate, an undertaking form will be generated during the submission of online application and should be submitted at the time of admission.
  2. If the candidate is allotted a seat under SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD/EWS category, they must submit the relevant original certificates at the time of admission and failing to do so will lead to the rejection of their admission at NITK. Further the OBC-NCL students must submit an undertaking in this regard.
  3. The candidate’s admission will be confirmed only on physical reporting to the institute as per the prescribed schedule.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Hello aspirant ,

First of all congratulations for getting such a good rank in JOSAA councelling as your rank is 8924 .

Since you've mentioned that you have got civil engineering seat in nit surathkal in karnataka , but you want much better branches in the same college - nit surathkal through CSAB counselling.

So , seeing the previous year cutoff trends in CSAB round counsellings , there is high chance for you to grab a seat in cs , it , ee , eee but may be in different colleges of karnataka . If you want to take admissions in karnataka , so nit surathkal works best for you but if you want to take admission in any of your other preferred branch then you have to go for other colleges .

You can also check your admission probabilities in other private colleges , GFTI , NITS according to your rank/percentile with the help of college predictor tool here :

I hope that this will help.

Hi

Offline classes have been allowed by the UGC Guidelines but the decision lays in the hands of the college administration. Therefore, you need to contact the college authorities for the updates of commencement of classes and their mode of conduction. If you have been allotted the college, then you can also get in contact with your seniors who can relay you the current situation. However, as a precautionary measure, only final year students are allowed in the campus.

Good Luck

Hello aspirant

hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that at the time of online submission of documents you can submit the digital locker migration certificate but in the pysical document verification in most nit ,you have to be present with hard originals certificates . However, you can ask the authorities by telling them the geniune reason they will surely accept your request for sure

Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future

Hello Student

NIT Suratkal will be the better choice for you to take EEE branch than CS branch of RV College Bangalore. RV college is also a great name of college. RV College was established in the year of 1963. It has management quota system of education  in which the fees are very much higher than NITK Surathkal. Both of the colleges fees structure  are almost the same. But the placement in NITK Surathkal is far better than RV College Bangalore. As there is a management quota system for admission in RV College and the fees for management quota system of education is higher then  the rich people spoilt brat always take a chance to take admission for try to make the system of education a mess there. Both of the colleges are well connected  and near to Bangalore. But due to placement opportunities in NITK Surathkal is is far more better than  r v college. Then your choice should be right for NIT Surathkal for EEE  branch, CS branch IT branch etc.
