Hi,

The Seat allotment of JOSAA is done after considering JEE Merit and choices filled by Student. Since you have alloted NIT Surathkal, you could still get you higher choices but the chances are very low. Because if you have enough rank then you would have already got your Higher choice colleges. So after 1st round of allotment ,most of the seat were already filled. This makes your chances to get higher preferred colleges very less .

I hope this will solve your query.

Good Luck!!!!

Hello,

I hope you are doing fine, IIIT-H is really very good for computer science and if someone gets CSE at IIIT-H there should not be any question as to which college to choose, however if you do not get CSE at IIIT you probably have to opt for a dual degree programme at IIIT (or ECE). These dual degree programmes are great, top notch actually ! But understand this, that IIIT has standards to maintain and so the quality of research has to be really good otherwise….you don’t get a degree ! So if you think you do not have that research mindset and you are more concerned about getting done with college in 4 years, NIT is the place where you should go ! Otherwise IIIT-H is the best for computer science by a huge margin

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.

Good Luck

Hi,

Mock seat allocation helps the candidate to give their preferences of institute/branch and change them accordingly after mock seat allotment, if they wish to. There are chances that you might get seat in NIT, Surathkal in Civil Engineering but it is not guaranteed. If you change the preferences before the last date then your actual seat allotment might vary. There are 7 rounds of counselling in JEE mains qualifying students for admission. If you got NIT surathkal in consecutive 3 mock round and if you get it in in the third round of mock round also then it is confirmed that you will get NIT surathkal for your CIvIL engineering course of study.

Hope this helps

Wish you luck

Hi aspirant, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, i.e. JOSAA in coordination with National Institute of Technology (NIT) Karnataka, Surathkal is responsible for releasing the NIT Karnataka 2020 seat matrix.

For more detailed information visit the below mentioned link;

Thank You.

Seat Matrix of NITs, may or may not change with each year, with respect to Institute Senate Recommendations, Government Reservation Policies, Newer Introduction of Quota (Like EWS was Introduced in 2019, or Female Quota was introduced in 2018).

For more information and Seat Matrix of NITK do follow the link below

Probably in that case you may get NIT Surathkal Civil, or atleast have high chances of getting this Option in the First Round of Counselling. You may expect any other option too, like the Preference right below NIT Surathkal or the 7th option above. However, provided your Float/Slide the Options through subsequent rounds of Counselling, there maybe chances you secure higher Options as Cutoffs lower with Counselling Rounds.

Hello,

Female candidates are eligible to get admission under gender neutral and female category. Thus you are eligible for a seat from Female-Only pool as well as Gender-Neutral pool of a particular institute and branch. Depending on number of seats available, category, rank and preferences of institute/branch you will be allotted a seat either under gender neutral pool or female-only pool. You do not have to worry about the pool under which you are allotted a seat.

Hello Student

There are 7 rounds of counselling in JEE mains qualifying students for admission. If you got NIT surathkal in consecutive 3 mock round and if you get it in in the third round of mock round also then it is confirmed that you will get NIT surathkal for your CIvIL engineering course of study.  For more information click on the official website of NIT surathkal - https://www.nitk.ac.in

Hope this helps.

The college had a big name already and it lived by it. It provided a campus considering the comfort of the students incorporating all the necessary facilities like the labs for the science and libraries.

College Infrastructure

Could be better. Hostels are old. Cleanliness could be improved. People are nice. Staff is decent. They try to do their best but they struggle to accomplish the same. No hot water. Lot of bee hives and I've been bit multiple times. Food is nice.
