Hello saurav,
There are three ways to get admission into BMS college of engineering
1)Through KEA (karanataka examination authority) for which you need to appear in KCET
2)Through COMEDK exam for which you need to appear for it and bring marks accordingly to BMS cut off which is generally high as it is topmost engg college in bangalore
3)Through management quota for which you would need to contact college authorities or director of admission directly
Hope this helps
Hello aspirant,
The branches from the respective colleges which you have listed are all trending branches from top engineering colleges of karnataka. But based on student reviews, college infrastructure , considering packages and faculty facilities, I would suggest you to go for ECE in dayanand sagar or BIT. But mech in BMS is good for you if you have better interest in tools and hard Work.
Here is the list of the options that you should consider for good placements-
1. mech in BMS
2. ECE in BIT
3. ECE in dayanand sagar
4. CSE in RNSIT
5. ECE in MVIT
Hello Sukanya,
The fee through Comedk for Computer Science Engineering is around Rs. 1,37,500. The college has 5% seats reserved for snq quota and the fee is much lower. It can go as low as around Rs. 20,000 or lower than that. You will be eligible for the seat if you are a rank holder in the entrance examination and your family income is under 4.5 lakhs. If you get selected make sure you have an income certificate issued by jurisdictional tahasildar as it will be required during document verification.
Good luck!
Hi Rishabh,
I would give you a comparison between the two colleges and rest the decision upon you to decide which college is better according to your fair judgment as to its the students which are responsible for the reputation of a college:
BMS College of Engineering-
1. NAAC Accredition- A++ Grade Recognition.
2. Established in the year 1946, thus older college with more years of experience and existence.
3. CSE department approved by the augmented research center VTU, Belgaum.
4. Accredited by NBA AICTE.
5. Dedicated placement and training cell which offers good placement to most of the students.
6. Good infrastructure.
PES University-
1. Established in the year 1972.
2. Better placement records with the highest packages being 40 lakhs which are offered to almost 11 students.
3. Dynamic Faculty.
4. Industry-Oriented Research.
5. Advanced Infrastructure.
So now make your judgment wisely.
BEST WISHES!
Hello Amit, No, a rank of 10.5k in COMEDK wouldn't land you a seat in BMS college of engineering. previous year closing rank shows that the last admitted student through COMEDK had a rank of 967. You won't get a seat in BMS in CSE branch. There are other colleges like KLE technological university, Dayanand Sagar Academy of technology and management, Nitte Meenakshi college where you can get CSE.
There are several factors to consider which college is better and they're:
- Ranking:
MIT Manipal scored a rank of 20 better than BMS college of engineering scoring 40 according to Outlook ranking of best engineering colleges in 2019.
- Placements:
MIT Manipal provides better placements than BMS college of engineering.
Also, studying at MIT Manipal will provide you better practical exposure with enhanced labs.
MIT Manipal could be your first choice to pursue Electronics and Communication Engineering.
All the best, for your further career prospects!
The campus is spread around 11 acres which include college of engineering, architecture and law. Campus area is a bit small but the buildings are well maintained especially the PJ Block. The classes are well equipped with tech and can accomodate a good amount of crowd
The infrastructure is really good. The new building, called the Platinum Jubilee Block, is well maintained with fully equipped computer labs, classrooms that are big enough with smartboard facilities and the lighting and ventilation are also good. The library is good with a wide range of books and resources. Hostels are decent; they can do better with the management, as there are not enough rooms to accommodate people. The mess is quite hygienic but the food is very average. The hostelites have separate ground near the mess for games and sports.
Everything like labs, computer lab, library, classrooms, and Wi-Fi is great but the campus is small. The hostel is very expensive around Rs. 2.3 LPA, so students try to stay in PGs and many PGs are nearby. Canteen, sports, and games facilities are good. We also have a gym, indoor stadium, etc.
