BVVS SR Vastrad Rural Polytechnic, Guledgudd, established in 1983 is an affiliated college situated at Guledgudd, Karnataka. This is a polytechnic institution that is AICTE approved, presently the institution offers various diploma programmes in engineering. Located on 12 acres land, the polytechnic has the whole student enrolment of 353 and has 17 faculty members. It offers five three-year full time diploma courses in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Textile Technology, Computer Science & Civil Engineering.

BVVS SR Vastrad Rural Polytechnic ensure that it can prepare its students to achieve the best result possible. However, it provides opportunities for many facilities for both academic and individual growths. The campus has provided more hostels for the students to accommodate boys and girls hence providing a comfortable accommodation to the students from different regions. Knowledge centre: affording information resources, getting and testing ideas however; well facilitated laboratory imparting of concept in practices for different departments. It also has well equipped modern IT facilities, improving digital learning environment for the students. In term of the student physical health wise, the campus has sports complex and a gym for exercises. Areal to prepare food and drink and an area to park vehicles supplement the amenities of campus living. The health centre also exists within the institute to provide such first aid services in cases of any emergencies

In total, BVVS SR Vastrad Rural Polytechnic has five diploma courses all of which are of full time. The programmes are Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Textile Technology, Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering. The total approved intake for these courses is 129 students per year, Electronics & Communication Engineering – 30, Electrical & Electronics Engineering – 30, Computer Science & Engineering – 23, Mechanical Engineering – 23 and Civil Engineering – 23.
