Yes you can switch to ec from civil easily.

But for this you have to fullfill eligibility criteria for college like you should not have any backlog and your percentage or cpi should be also 75+ in first year.

In addition to this few colleges have some attendance criteria also for the same.

Therefore do not depend completely on this college alone and try applying for admissions in other colleges also to have an ensured backup plan. Coming to your question I would like to tell you that yes you can change the branch in the dsce college but the branch you want must have a vacant seats in it , and you should have a good score in the first year with no backlogs , also you have to give some amount of money to the college and the amount depends on the branch,

dear aspirant,hope you are doing well.now coming to your question,as per many reviews given by different websites and current students,BMSCE is better than DSCE in many terms in case of all the respective branches.DSCE is situated in the heart of the city ,hence it have a geographical edge over BMSCE.

Both of them come in the list of reputed institutions in Bangalore. However, BMSCE fares slightly better than DSCE in terms of both studies and placements. The student crowd is also better in BMSCE. Placements also depend on your branch, but BMSCE is good for most of the branches.
