The Gitam University Vishakhapatnam Infrastructure is very good and it is very good atmosphere in the class premises It is good and still should be improved and the library was very good and coming to the facilities it is good
Yes according to the academics it is very Good and nice explain by the faculty members the teaching quality was good they are explaing through the projectors and it is very useful to us and they are explaing the doubts very clearly
Yes it has good quality of having placements and here wecan get the top of the companies to occupy the job and it is very good opportunity here to get a pleasure the average salary was 15 lakhs And the highest percentage is 91
Yes it is value for money I feel worth about money spending here
Coming to the campus life it is very nice and interesting and good we have different sports and different clubs to improve our talent
No
The campus is neat and well-maintained. Most of the classrooms have working projectors, and the computer labs are updated frequently. Internet access is decent and available in hostels and academic blocks. The library is quiet and a good spot to focus, with access to both hard copies and digital study materials. Hostels are manageable—neither too luxurious nor bad—just basic but livable.
The syllabus covers core CSE concepts like data structures, OS, and networking quite well. In 3rd year, you start getting exposed to electives like AI, web dev, or cloud computing. The teaching style depends on the faculty—some go the extra mile to guide you through practical learning, while others just stick to slides. It’s up to you to go beyond class and explore projects or certifications.
You’ll start seeing real placement training from the end of 3rd year. Pre-placement workshops, mock interviews, and aptitude training are organized. Internships are encouraged, and there are often connections with startups and mid-sized companies for off-campus opportunities. Many seniors land offers from companies like TCS, Capgemini, and a few product-based firms too, but self-effort plays a big role.
Fees might feel a bit high for some, but if you take advantage of the resources—clubs, coding competitions, speaker sessions, etc.—it’s a fair deal. There are also scholarships based on merit or financial need, which is helpful. You're paying for more than just academics—it’s the overall exposure.
This is honestly a fun part. Tech fests, cultural events, and student clubs keep the vibe alive. There’s always something to participate in, whether it’s a hackathon, theatre, or music club. It helps balance the stress of academics. The student crowd is diverse, so you get to interact with people from various parts of the country.
It’s a good place for someone who’s serious about tech and wants to build a strong base. The college gives you the tools—but you have to pick them up and work on your own growth. If you’re active, curious, and consistent, you’ll find a lot of value here.
The infrastructure is nice with amazing classroom that provide visual learning , optimal labs for different subjects and sessions that help learn things . The powerful AI labs for programing and designing is nice
I am currently persuing B. Tech 4th year in computer science . To join the rushy world that is advancing with AI . The teaching quality is good with best teachers and mentors that guide us . Well curriculum is not that great and needs a bit more to look into
The quality for placements is okay on all the grounds . 50 to 60 percent of the total number of students get their placements in mass hireing The highest is 46 on campus . The process is a bit uncomforting , we need to go through a lot of online updates that are not well handed
The course costs around 3.3.l per anum It is worth the cost as we are not only provided with the quality classrooms but also online tools that help us a lot
The campus life is fun to most of the time there are clubs that engage the students trying to leverage them in tech sports and lot The folks are friendly to deal with can be approachable for any guidence
Nope thank you
Yes, GITAM University has excellent infrastructure with well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, a vast library, sports facilities, and good Wi-Fi across campus. Everything needed for academics and extracurriculars is well-maintained.
I'm pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science at GITAM University, driven by my interest in technology and innovation. The faculty here are knowledgeable and supportive, making complex topics easier to understand. The curriculum is well-structured and updated with the latest trends like AI and Data Science, ensuring we stay aligned with industry standards.
GITAM University offers good placement support with a structured and student-friendly process. In 2024, over 77% of students were placed. The highest package was ₹46.5 LPA (B.Tech CSE), and the average was around ₹6 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, TCS, and Infosys visit regularly. The Career Guidance Centre provides strong training and support throughout.
My course cost around ₹2–2.5 lakhs per year. Given the quality of teaching, updated curriculum, and strong placement support, I feel it's worth the investment.
Campus life at GITAM is vibrant and inclusive. There are numerous fests, clubs, and events that keep things lively. The environment is friendly and helps in overall personality development.
GITAM has a pretty solid campus. The buildings are clean, and most classrooms are digital-friendly with projectors and all. Labs are well-equipped, especially for us in tech streams, and everything's usually functional. The library is a great place if you want a quiet study vibe. Hostels are okay—not luxurious, but manageable. Wi-Fi is available in most spots, and there are decent areas to chill or hang out between classes.
I'm in my third year of B.Tech, and the academic setup is decent. The syllabus includes current topics like AI, web development, and cloud basics. Some subjects might feel textbook-heavy, but a few professors genuinely care and make an effort to teach well. If you're curious and like working on side projects or coding competitions, there’s good support
Placements are pretty fair. If you maintain a decent GPA and build your skill set, you’ll likely get placed. Mass recruiters like TCS and Wipro are regulars, and if you're into coding or dev roles, some better companies come too. The college conducts training sessions, aptitude prep, and mock interviews. Your personal effort makes a big difference though
The fee feels a bit on the higher side, but when you look at the exposure, campus life, and the kind of guidance available, it’s not bad. There are workshops, clubs, and events that help in overall development. Plus, if you go after internships and external stuff, the ROI improves.
Easily the best part of college. There are always events happening—technical fests, theatre shows, coding nights, sports tournaments, you name it. I’ve been a part of student clubs too, and it’s made a big difference. You get to meet people with all kinds of interests, and the beach adds a chill vibe to everything
GITAM is what you make of it. If you just attend classes and leave, it’s average. But if you get involved—join clubs, take up projects, attend events—it becomes a really great experience.
One of the best infrastructure I have seen till now and they are still upgrading it more and I feel lucky that I'm able to study there and experience it, but sometimes the ac's won't work but they are working on it apart from that everything is cool. We have all the necessary infrastructure and all are of top quality and we have smart classrooms and wifi all over the campus and well maintained.
The curriculum is regularly updated to match with current requirements and trends, however some students feel more programs could more hands-on training in different ways. The university provides great opportunities for internships and placements and assistance in higher studies too.
The university is providing great opportunities for internships and placements, and last year's highest package was 1.4 from amazon, and many students got places in different companies with wide range of packages
All the experiences and the life style is worth it but the fee is little high to easily afford. It costed me 3.5L per year and 1.73L if fee was paid sem wise and I feel it a bit costly I would have been really really great if the fee was less then there will be no university better than this even now it is the best
It the best campus experience anyone can have with a large campus and multipes student clubs to join in and network with people and the opportunities we get and the real life experience we get is totally amazing
THE CAMPUS IS PRETTY GOOD OVERALL . MOST CLASS ROOMS HAVE PROJECTORS AND DECENT SEATING, AND THE LABS ARE UPDATED WITH THE SOFTWARE WE NEED, ESPECIALLY FOR CSE. THE LIBRARAY ARE FINE , NOTHING TOO FANCY BUT THEY ARE CLEAN AND LIVABLE.
I AM DOING MY BTECH CSE AND I CHIOSE IT BECAUSE IVE ALWAYS BEEN INTRESTED IN TECH . THE COURSES RECENT STUFF LIKE MACHINE LEARNING AND CLOUD COMPUTING . SOME SUBJECTS CAN FEEL OUTDATD , BUT WE ALSO HAVE A FEW REALLY HELPFUL PROFFESSORS WHO GUIDE US WELL
PLACEMNTS ARE DECENT . A LOT OF US GOT PLACED IN LIKE TCS , ACCENTURE AND WIPRO . A FEW SENIORS GOT INTO REALLY GOOD COMPANIES WITH HIGH PACKAGES , BUT YOU NEED TO BE PRO ACTIVE AND THAT HELPS IF YOU RE CONSISTENT
THOUGHTHE FEES ARE SLIGHTLY HIGH ON THE HIGHER SIDE THE CAMPUS LIFE , ACADEMIC SUPPORT AND PLACEMENT TRAINING MAKE IT WORTH WILE . THE COLLEGE ALSO OFFERS SCHOLORSHIPS FOR MERIT STUDENTS, WHICH HELPS EASE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN
LIFE AT GITAM IS EXCITING AND THERE ARE MULTIPLES STUDENT CLUBS AND EVENTS ALL YEAR AROUND . FROM CILTURAL FESTS TO TECH MEETS THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING HAPENING. THE CAMPUS IS CLOSE TO THE BEACH AND FEELS SAFE
LIFE AT GITAM IS EXCITING AND ENGAGING . THERE ARE MULTIPLE STUDENT CLUBS AND EVENTS ALL YEAR AROUND.
GITAM offers a well-developed infrastructure with modern facilities. Classrooms are spacious with smart boards and good ventilation. The labs are fully equipped and well-maintained for hands-on learning. The central library is large, digitalized, and has a vast collection of books and journals. The campus has Wi-Fi, and the hostels are clean with decent mess food. Sports centers are available for both indoor and outdoor games. Hygiene is maintained well across the campus.
I’m pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The teaching quality is good, with most professors being supportive and knowledgeable. The curriculum is updated regularly to include current industry trends like AI, ML, and data science. There are regular workshops, guest lectures, and coding contests. Some subjects could use more practical exposure, but overall, it’s structured to make us job-ready.
The placement scenario is promising. A large number of companies visit the campus, including TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and some product-based companies. The highest package went up to 20+ LPA, while the average remains around 4–5 LPA. The college supports students with mock interviews and placement training. However, competition is high, and one has to work consistently to secure a good job.
The course fee is on the higher side, but considering the campus, placements, and opportunities, it feels worth it. GITAM provides various certifications, internship chances, and skill development programs that justify the investment. Scholarships are also available based on merit and entrance ranks.
Campus life at GITAM is vibrant. There are multiple clubs (technical, cultural, social) to be part of. Fests like GUSAC and Kalakriti bring students together from all departments. The location is beautiful—near the beach, and safe. The student crowd is diverse and friendly. Faculty and staff are approachable. Emergency services and medical aid are available on campus.
GITAM is a great place for holistic growth—academics, personality, and career. It gives you the resources you need to succeed; you just need to make the best use of them.

Hi,
GITAM Institute of Technology, Visakhapatnam is a better college in terms of placements. First of all the infrastructure here is good. They have library, labs, big classrooms, ground and the ambience here is also pretty good. Teachers are qualified and experienced. Most of the teachers teach well and the students understand what they teach perfectly. When it comes to placements, average salary package offered was 4 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 16 LPA. Overall it is a very good college as compared to Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering.
I hope this helps,
All the best
