Most of the times, the marks don't vary very much, there may be just slight change in the cutoffs.

government college of engineering coimbatore , b.tech admission is done by tnea counselling which conducts by anna university. colleges dont disclose the cutoff score. you may know about the closing rank, closing rank is varies from stream to stream, also depends on category of participants. you may follow the below link to know about mbc category closing ranks for different streams:

Hello aspirant , can you please mention your rank , marks and category.  Without knowing your marks or rank  it is difficult to say whether you would get admission or not. Please mention it in the question , clearly . We would be able to guide you in a better way.

See if you are asking this for the purpose of getting everything done before reporting to that institute let me tell you there are so many buses and other means of transport that you can take to reach the college. There is no need for a special bus for TANCET counselling candidates and should there be such privellage. You can comfortably reach their don't worry.

Scores above 57 are considered great for top colleges like CEG and MIT under TANCET ME.
For GCT you need scores above 50 marks. The cut off scores in various colleges varies for every year. You have good overall rank. So you can get admission in Thiagaraja and GCT.

Hi Anish,

To the extent of my knowledge there is both channels GATE and TANCET for intake of MTech/ME in colleges affiliated to Anna University. And for colleges like PSG particularly, let me tell you there is entry on the basis of TANCET also. Same goes for CIT and GCT also. So don't worry.

I am sorry to say but there is no staying facility for candidates appearing for TANCET Counselling in GCT College Coimbatore. You have to make your own arrangements for staying during the counselling. The college does not provide any accomodation during counselling. You will be provided hostels for staying if you take admission and pay hostel fee.
