Hello student. Both of them are different set of branches. EEE deals with elctricals and etc. Where as production engineering deals with machines and all. So, find your intrest first. Which one are you more intrested in.

Even though physics is the common subject in these both, there are different fields in both of them. In the case of answer to your question, I would suggest eee because there is a higher scope and better opportunities. Production engineering is still a developing field in our country. So there are lesser opportunities here.

bmkdskrosi640 , The cutoff for tnea 2020 is not mention by the college but if we take average of some previous year rank than it is about 6000 to 7000 in production engineering and for industrial biotechnology is about same as production engineering 6000-7000 but for accurate information please wait some time.

bmkdskrosi640 , Both the streams are equally good and it depends upon your interests and passion what you want to pursue. As far as placement is concerned, Production Engineering is great option in present while Industrial Biotechnology has brighter future.

And if we talk about the courses in GCT college than both are good so take course on the basis of your interest because placement and all are equal in that college.

see I would suggest you to go for civil engineering in Government college of engineering salem. since civil engineering belongs to a core engineering discipline, it has more work and higher study opportunity than production engineering. however being from civil department you may work as a field engineer, manufacturing supervisor, cad or cam design engineer, structural engineering etc. also there is several m.tech opportunity and government psus jobs available for civil engineering passed graduates.

All the 3 colleges are the good in their own way. But the most best one is Sri Krishna college of Engineering and Technology[SKECT]. Among these 3 colleges SKECT is the best college. This college has the best faculty and the faculty here is highly professional and highly talented. Every student gets placed at the time of placements. Mostly 92-95% students gets placed at the time of placements and also in this college they provide good training for placements. The highest salary package offered id 18 lakhs per annum. And the average salary package offered is 4.5 lakhs per annum. And this college is very best in all the categories. So I suggest you to opt SKECT.

Government college of technology,Coimbatore is a good institute secures 105th rank.actually the heart of train changes every so it is quite difficult for us to tell about open and closing cutoff for bachelor of engineering in civil department. If you consider placement after completing your course in Industrial Biotechnology then this place might not be  a good option as the placements in this sector is quite low even though companies like Biocon, Shantha biotechnics limited etc come (if you are really a hardworking and meritorious student you can get placed though) . The subjects taught, methods of teaching and the faculty are great.

The closing rank according to previous year statistics is somewhere around 10700 so probably this year it will be around this too. All the best!

Government College of Technology , Coimbatore  opening cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 195.5 and closing cutoff is 190

Government College of Technology, Coimbatore opening cutoff for Electrical and Electronics Engineering is 190 and closing cutoff is 186.5

So, you have no chances of getting seat in these colleges with the branches mentioned above.
