Yes you can obviously appear for IES exam whether you are from textile stream or any other.

It's not like that if you are from textile you can't appear. You need not to worry about it just focus on your studies and have believe on yourself you can

i think bv pune is the best out of all in terms of infrastucture, placement, campus and overall future. infrastructure wise BVCOE has all the amenities. they have 5–6 canteens serving good cheap food. Every room has A/C, clean cool drinking water, well equipped labs and fully functional

If you are a B.E/ B.Tech graduate with any branch then you can apply for IES examinations.

One can attempt IES examination with four branches :-

• Mechanical engineering
  
• Electronics and communication engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Civil engineering
