My wbjee rank is 5100 and I am from west bengal general category . Can I get a chance to study in Kalyani government engineering college ?

The cutoffs change every year as this is based on various factors. And the mechanical branch gets filled within 3500 rank, this is the branch with highest closing rank. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board release the cut-off for WBJEE every year after the declaration of results. It is not easy to predict the cut-off for any exam because cut-off depends upon various factors like

Number of candidates appeared in exam.
Availability of seats
Difficulty level of paper
And many more

Hence cut-off are bound to change every year by taking consideration of above factors.

Can anyone please tell me to get admission in KGEC what GMR is needed in Jelet for the trade of Electronics and Communication Engineering ?

Hello,
Government engineering college accept JEE mains for admission of students into different streams of engineering.
For core branch like ECE, EEE,EIE , rank considered goes upto 10 lakhs. If you have any reservation category then it will help you to get admission. They also consider state engineering entrance exam if any.
ECE is a top and demanded stream which has high contribution in automation which is the leading domain or trending stream now.

Hi Shreya,

Kalayani Government Engineering College offers admission through WBJEE and JELET admissions. There is no direct admission. You have to appear in either of these exams to secure a seat in that college.

In case of placement I would prefer IEM and heritage over CU and KGEC. In West Bengal top engineering colleges ( except IIT and NIT) are

1. Jadavpur university

2. Institute of engineering and management (IEM)

3. Heritage institute of Technology( HIT)

Which is better college for WBUT PGET - KGEC or NITTR KOLKATA. I am a B.tech on Electrical Engineering.

Hello,

KGEC (Kalyani Government Engineering College) is a better option thanNITTTR.
KGEC offers excellent infrastructure including lots of other facilities like central library, sports, music, wifi etc.It also has highly qualified teaching staffs having years of experience.
However, almost same facilities are provided by NITTTR too but the one main are where KGEC wins is what matters the most and that is placement.
KGEC has a good placement record whereas NITTTR does offers placements.
So, now you can decide accordingly.

Can non WB domicile candidate take admission in KGEC?

Hello Aspirant,

Kalyani Government Engineering College, Nadia is a Government college. In order to take admission in this college you should have the domicile of West Bengal.

Other state student can apply for Self Finance colleges of West Bengal for b.tech programme.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure wise the college had adequate equipments but they are mostly dated and old, however the new building we have is much more modern, we didnt smart boards but we got projectors, in hostel its a bit filthy so better to avoid it the food is not that clean or good for that matter.

Average . not well maintained but you have everything , labs of computer , ece , electrical ,workshop for mechanical ,every necessary things, . wifi is available . canteen is clean . Masir dokan haridar dokan etc are there for eating .
