Neelkanth Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2009. It is an affiliated Meerut-based college in Uttar Pradesh. The campus of NIET stretches over 65 acres and has approval from the All India Council for Technical Education. The institute offers five diplomas in engineering disciplines with a total intake of 651 students and a faculty strength of 52. Much mirrored in its slew of various diverse specialisations, the NIET commitment to technical education remains very firm. These range from Computer Science and Electrical to Civil, Mechanical Production, and Mechanical Automobile Engineering.

Neelkanth Institute of Engineering and Technology has a host of modern facilities to back up the academic and personal growth of its students. The library is a knowledge hub with over 45,000 books, reference materials, and periodicals. All laboratories at NIET are well-equipped to enable students to implement theoretical concepts practically. Separate boys' and girls' hostels with AC rooms and all modern facilities that can provide a comfortable living environment; a state-of-the-art gym and sports facilities for physical fitness for both indoor and outdoor games are available. The oval-shaped cafeteria, set amidst lush green lawns, provides relaxation to the students for rest and socialisation.

NIET offers five diploma courses, each of three years duration. The approved combined intake of the institute in its programmes totals 420 seats. These include Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Production Engineering, and Mechanical Automobile Engineering. The programmes are meant to equip students with a strong background in the various fields that will adequately prepare them for careers in engineering.
