You haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, in 2019, the cut offs for SSN College of Engineering for CSE across various Categories have been as follows:

SC Arunthiyars: 31629

SC: 15397

ST: 20096

General Category: 729

OBC: 1566

BC-Muslims: 3605

MBC: 4002

EWS: 729

Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Marks secured by Candidates in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be reduced to the base of 200 to prepare the rank lost. But if you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 85%-90% in your Boards and if you belong to Reserved Categories, you need atleast 75%.

Application Process: Candidates will be able to get the application form from the college office or download it from the college website. Application fees must be paid where applicable.

Eligibility:

B.E. / B.Tech: Candidates must have passed the +2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board of education with relevant marks.

M.E. / M.Tech: Candidates must have a B.E. / B.Tech degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates must also have a valid GATE score to apply for admission. TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) scores will also be considered.

MCA: Candidates must have a Bachelor degree from any recognized university with Mathematics as a subject. Candidates will also have to give the TANCET exam or any other state level entrance test to qualify for admission.

Selection Process: The selection process for B.E. / B.Tech are purely merit based. The candidates for M.E. / M.Tech will also be selected based on merit. But they must have a valid GATE/ TANCET score to apply. Reservations: All reservations for admission will follow the rules and regulations set by the Government.

SSN College of Engineering is one of the famous colleges in Chennai. One thing you must remember that you have to maintain at least 65 to 70% attendance. Professors are highly meritorious and experienced and always approachable. All the departments in SSN have more than adequate infrastructure for both academic and research purposes and excellent faculty. Just try to wear proper outfit in the college. The college provides free wifi and many other facilities. If you are residing in hostel then there are some rules and regulations. Hostel attendance is taken within 8.30 pm to 9.00 pm. If you miss your attendance, then you have to submit an apology letter.

Apply online and submit the application form. Your score will be calculated based on the Marks you scored in 12th or hsc.

Based on the score and rank, you will be called for counseling.

Based on rank, availability of seats and number of students applying, in the counseling you will get the branch

rank list will be released in the 3rd week of June and counselling will start from july.  Prior to counselling the cutoff list  for different colleges will be released. The qualifying marks (TNEA) for different branch is:-

  1. Biomedical engineering:- 165.25-196.25
  2. civil engineering:- 172.25-196.75
  3. Chemical Engineering:- 152.5-195.75
  4. CSE:- 166-199
  5. ECE:- 172-198.75
  6. EEE:- 163.5-197.25
  7. IT:- 159-196.25

For admissions in SSN College of engineering, the eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board with minimum relevant score. There is nothing mentioned about the 10th score. So, admission will be based on the 12th score only. It's just that you must have passed your 10th examination as well.

For admissions, the merit score will matter. You don't have to give any entrance exam.

You should  have studied Physics, chemistry, maths in your 12th standard and passed with minimum 50% of marks. But meritorious students can only get into SSN Engineering college, Chennai. 65% seats are filled by state counselling and 35% of seats are filled by management. If you are a General category student, you will need cutoff marks above 195 to get a seat. At the same time if you are SC/ST candidate, above 150 marks is enough. Sports person and state topper reservations and scholarships also available.

Yes,the  SSN college is taking the admission of the other state also.

65% seat will be given through counselling procedure and remaining 35% seats will be given through the management quota and international admission .you have to apply online or direct meet at college for enquiring for admission

The college has great infrastructure and provides the students with all facilities such as good computer labs, projectors in classrooms, sports and gym facilities , library , printing room and more. The Wifi is available all over the campus with high speed. The classrooms are clean and food in canteen is hygenic.
