Uday Prasad Uday Government Polytechnic Durg currently offers eight full time and three part time diploma courses. The institute was set up in the year 1962 with three courses - diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.. Two years later, the college added another course named diploma in Metallurgy engineering to meet the demand of skilled technicians at Bhilai Steel Plant. The eligibility criteria for regular courses at UPU Government Polytechnic Durg is class 10 from a recognized institute.
