CCET would be a better choice than UIET, Hoshiarpur, in all the branches, not just mechanical.

Advantages CCET has over UIET, Hoshiarpur:

    • Located in Chandigarh, all opportunities are easy to access. (CSIO labs, TBRL labs chandigarh etc ).
    • Better faculty for all departments at CCET. (Newly appointed by UGC).
    • Renowned

    Hello Lauramani,

I'll suggest you to go for Mechanical Engineering in Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology as it is among the top private engineering colleges of India and also holds a good placement track record in comparison to that of UIET Chandigarh.

Between jamia and usict , both are equally good. Jamia has better reputation nationally .

For CSE /it/ECE usict maybe better but for core branches jamia is better because of experienced faculty.

New iiits are improving vastly , so they might become much better by the time you pass out

    College Infrastructure: 3.4/5
    Academics: 3.5/5
    Placements: 3.4/5
    Value for Money: 1.8/5
    Campus Life: 4.2/5

    Good experience

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is adequate and meets the basic needs of students. Classrooms, laboratories, and other facilities are functional, but some areas could benefit from modernization and better maintenance. While the campus provides a suitable environment for learning, there is significant scope for improvement in terms of facilities and overall infrastructure quality.

    This is decent college.

    College Infrastructure

This college come under Panjab University. PU has two campuses and UIET came under south campus. The infra of UIET is just okay okay. This is the decent college if you are not getting any nit or GFTI. You can choose this college instead of taking admission in any state engineering colleges. The infra of the college is average, there is projectors in classrooms, the faculty is top notch from iits and other big institutes. The spaes are clean and there is hygienic food. I you want to enjoy the campus life this will be best option.

My experience is college was good enough as I learned a lot.

It left much to be desired as machines were old. The machines were around twenty years older when I was studying, many weren't even working. It troubled us a lot as many of us weren't able to do our experiments.
