Hi friend,
The max rank required should be within 2 lac.As you have rank more than 3 lac in JEE Mains, there is slightly less possibility for you getting admission in UIET,Chandigarh in Computer science & engineering stream.
Try finding other colleges which would admit rank above 3 lac.
Hope this helps.Best of luck.
THERE IS NO HOME STATE QUOTA in UIET, Chandigarh. Talking about mains, you should have AIR upto 55000 to get a good stream at UIET, Chandigarh till last round of counselling (based on last year's cutoff if you belong to general category)
There is no home state quota in JAC CHANDIGARH counseling.
Admission are based on AIR …
U can check online the last cutoff of UIET in respective branch with category Wise.
I think in 60k to 70k u can get good branch, up to ECE .
Your order should be CSE , IT, ECE if u have no branch choice…..
If u r interested in any branch plz choose that only..!
As there is no Chandigarh Quota for UIET. So it doesn’t matter where are you from. And also the marks don’t matter. Its the All India Rank You got in Jee mains which matter. As per last year cutoff the last branch which closed was Biotechnology which was at 110000+.
So If you are getting a rank ranging till 1L you can get a seat because this year onwards the patter of JEE has changed.
hello srestha
sorry based on evaluation of cut off trends for last year you won't be able to qualify for seat allotment.
for more details please refer:https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/university-institute-of-engineering-and-technology-panjab-university-chandigarh/cutoff
all the best
Hi
Thanks for your question,
Seeing the past year trend of the opening and the closing ranks, its highly likely to be the same this year.
At a rank of 1,10,511 you may get Bio-Technology at UIET, Sector-25 for sure. Also there are, but bleak chances for Electrical & Electronics Engineering at UIET-25. Do fill all the choices of UIET for the counselling and keep bio-technology as the last choice for UIET-25.
These are my personal opinion.NO offence!!!
Hope this helps.
Good-Luck!!!!
Hey! Hi Sudarshan.
Sorry to say but NO.
You won't get CSE even in spot round.
You my get all other branches except CSE in spot round.
Hope it Helps.
Thanks.
This college come under Panjab University. PU has two campuses and UIET came under south campus. The infra of UIET is just okay okay. This is the decent college if you are not getting any nit or GFTI. You can choose this college instead of taking admission in any state engineering colleges. The infra of the college is average, there is projectors in classrooms, the faculty is top notch from iits and other big institutes. The spaes are clean and there is hygienic food. I you want to enjoy the campus life this will be best option.
It left much to be desired as machines were old. The machines were around twenty years older when I was studying, many weren't even working. It troubled us a lot as many of us weren't able to do our experiments.
Infra of our college is okaish. Everything one may need is present in the college or univerisity campus. Lecture halls are good only for the CS and IT department. All the facilities are present in the university campus in sector 14, but hostels aren't that great and availability of hostels is a major issue for boys. More than half of the students have to live outside of the campus in pgs and apartments.
